摘要: Formation of a multi-colored image in thermochromic material involves controlling operation of first, second, and third heat sources. The first heat source heats pixels of the thermochromic material to activate the pixels. The second and third heat sources are selectively controlled to heat different sets of pixels using neither, one, or both of the second and third heat sources.

摘要: An approach for forming a multi-colored image on a substrate that includes a thermochromic material capable of producing at least two different colors is disclosed. Individually selected pixels of the thermochromic material that correspond to the image are heated to predetermined temperatures. Each predetermined temperature corresponds to a predetermined color shift of the thermochromic material. While the individually selected pixels are being heated, an area that includes the individually selected pixels is flooded with an amount of UV radiation sufficient to at least partially polymerize the thermochromic material. A color of each individually selected pixel is determined by a predetermined temperature to which the pixel is heated and the amount of UV radiation to which the pixel is exposed.

摘要: Provided is a multilayer lamination film for laser printing that does not require a special ink that discolors by laser light irradiation, and that makes it possible to obtain a printed line having high visibility by irradiation of laser light having a power sufficiently low to avoid damaging a base film. The multilayer lamination film for laser printing includes at least a base material layer, a printing layer, and a sealant layer. The printing layer is a layer made of an ink composition enabling printing by means of laser light. The ink composition is made of white ink containing at least a titanium oxide and a binder resin, the binder resin containing a crystalline component.

摘要: A container is disclosed which may be used with fluids sensitive to light of one or more known wavelengths. The container may be formed of a thermochromic material or including a thermochromic coating. The properties of the thermochromic material or coating may be selected so as to be transparent to light of the wavelength to which the fluid is sensitive at a first temperature and to be opaque to that wavelength of light at a second temperature. While a technician is handling the container, the container is controlled to be at the first temperature. When the technician is finished, the container is controlled to move to the second temperature to protect the fluid within the container.

摘要: To provide an information writable film that is chemical and abrasion resistance, and is suitable for high contrast white laser marking. The information writable film comprises a writable film layer 110 and a reading assistance layer 120. The writable film layer 110 is formed into a film shape by thinly stretching a material, which material is a mixture of a color former composition for coloring white when receiving the particular wavelength laser beam by changing its physical and chemical characteristic and a transparent plastic composition. The reading assistance layer 120 is provided enhancing the contrast ratio. The writable film layer 110 is provided with laser coloring properties and chemical and abrasion resistance. During writing, an identification code is written by laser by coloring the color former in the writable film layer 110. During reading, the contrast ratio is enhanced by superimposing the color of the reading assistance layer 120.
