Abstract: An on-press development type lithographic printing plate precursor has a support, an image-recording layer, and an outermost layer in this order. The image-recording layer contains an infrared absorber, an electron-accepting polymerization initiator, and a polymerizable compound. LUMO of the electron-accepting polymerization initiator-LUMO of the infrared absorber is 0.45 eV or more, and the outermost layer contains a discoloring compound. A method of preparing a lithographic printing plate and a lithographic printing method employ the on-press development type lithographic printing plate precursor.

Abstract: A lithographic printing plate precursor including an image recording layer on a hydrophilic support, in which the image recording layer includes a polymerization initiator, an infrared absorbent, a polymerizable compound, and an acid color former, and the infrared absorbent includes a compound represented by Formula 1, as well as a method of preparing a lithographic printing plate by use of the lithographic printing plate precursor. In Formula 1, at least one of Ar1 or Ar2 has a group represented by the following Formula 2. —X Formula 2 X represents a halogen atom, —C(═O)—X2—R11, —C(═O)—NR12R13, —O—C(═O)—R14, —CN, —SO2N15R16, or a perfluoroalkyl group, X2 represents a single bond or an oxygen atom, R11 and R14 each independently represent an alkyl group or an aryl group, and R12, R13, R15 and R16 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an aryl group.

Abstract: A color developing composition which develops colors in a high density and does not significantly discolor when aged, a lithographic printing plate precursor which has excellent plate-inspecting properties by means of color development and is capable of maintaining strong color development even when aged after color development, a plate making method for a lithographic printing plate in which the lithographic printing plate precursor is used, and a new compound that can be preferably used as a color developer. The color developing composition of the present invention includes a compound represented by Formula 1. The compound in the present invention is represented by Formula 1. In Formula 1, R1 represents a group in which an R1—O bond is cleaved by heat or exposure to infrared rays.
