摘要： An apparatus for attaching a label to a moving cable, the apparatus comprising: an attaching device for applying a label onto a moving cable and a roller for pressing the label against the moving cable, wherein the roller comprises a first roller for pressing one label against the moving cable, wherein the first roller comprises a U shape hollow portion and is mounted at an angle with the U shape hollow portion directly facing a side of the moving cable and wherein the label is formed into a U shape a first edge of the U shape longer than a second edge of the U shape; a first roll down roller for folding the second edge of the label against the moving cable and the first edge of the label; and a second roll down roller for folding the first edge of the label against the folded second edge of the label and wherein the first roll down roller is mounted to overlap the second roll down roller to overlap the label edges onto the moving cable.

摘要： A device for removing a ring-shaped label from a pack of substantially identical, abutting ring-shaped labels comprises a pick-up head which is provided with a stop surface and retaining devices for holding a ring-shaped label against the stop surface. The device comprises a storage holder for accommodating the pack of ring-shaped labels. A displacement device can displace the pack of ring-shaped labels from a storage position, in which the pack of ring-shaped labels is situated at a distance from the stop surface of the pick-up head, to a discharge position, in which the pack of ring-shaped labels is pushed against the stop surface of the pick-up head by means of an outer ring-shaped label. A blast of air is delivered when the outer ring-shaped label is held against the stop surface of the pick-up head. The blast of air is directed laterally between the outer ring-shaped label and the adjacent ring-shaped label of the pack of ring-shaped labels, so that the adjacent ring-shaped label is blown off the outer ring-shaped label.

摘要： A labelling machine for bottles or the like includes several stations located behind one another along a track. The stations include an adhesive application station, a label feed station and a label transfer station. There are three extracting elements which are each mounted to rotate on a rotating support to be moved past the stations during each rotation of the support. Each extracting element has an outwardly-curved receptacle surface for the label which rolls along the stations. The drive for each extracting element is a cam drive, which comprises common, stationary double cam discs for all the extracting elements with two cams located on one side in two planes with one above and at some distance from the other. Two sets of followers are mounted on a bearing shaft which is coupled with the rotating support. By means of a form-fit with the two cams, the followers provide positive movement of each extracting element over its entire revolution when the support rotates. The bearing shaft terminates above the plane in which the first cam closer to the shaft is located. The followers which correspond to the other second cam are mounted on a bridge element lying between the two cams. The bridge element is supported by spacer elements on the bearing shaft so that the spacer elements lie outside the area or path covered by the movement of the first cam.

摘要： A system for the dispensing of literature to objects, such as containers carried by a conveyor, includes a tape for the application of adhesive to literature, and a device for the separation of the literature from the tape to permit the securing of the literature, adhesively, to the containers. A drive mechanism is provided for advancing the tape through successive increments of distance, each incremental distance being equal to the size of one piece of literature. A hopper dipsenses the literature to the tape, one piece at a time. Application of the pieces of literature to the objects is accomplished by a roller or brush. The literature separation device includes a bar having an edge about which the tape is bent to free the literature from the tape as the tape advances around the edge. The adhesive is retained by the literature during the separation from the tape so as to permit the adhesive attachment of the pieces of literature to the containers. The pieces of literature may be lifted from the hopper by passing an adhesive coating of the tape past an exit port of the hopper, or by use of a suction cup carried by a swing-arm assembly wherein both the movement thereof and vacuum of the suction cup are synchronized with movement of the tape.

摘要： A system for applying folded outserts to conveyed products utilizing a pressure sensitive tape for transportation from the magazine type hopper to the products. The tape with a pressure sensitive adhesive is routed in front of the outfeed of the outsert hopper. A reciprocating tape tamping device and vacuum manifold mounted on an air cylinder are used to first bump the adhesive-coated tape in contact with the outsert and then withdraw the outsert from the hopper. The withdrawal occurs after the initial precise placement of the outsert to the tape. The method of withdrawal requires further forward movement of a pair of bellow style cups which contact the outsert after adhesion. The initiation of vacuum on contact and termination on withdrawal permit the outsert to be retained individually on the tape. The outsert is then indexed forward where it is transferred to a conveyed product.

摘要： This relates to a label separator which is operative to separate a foremost label from a stack of labels in advance of such label being picked by a picker so as to assure that only one label is picked at a time and that the other labels in a stack of labels will not be disturbed. One end or edge portion of a foremost label is displaced relative to the remainder of the stack and after a gap has been formed between the displaced label and the next adjacent label in the stack, a blade enters in between these two labels so as to separate completely the foremost label from the remaining labels in the stack. The apparatus which effects the initial displacement has associated therewith a label support whereby the displaced label remains supported in its original alignment for reception by the picker.

摘要： A device for the application of labels onto the periphery of cylindrical containers, which are advanced at intervals from each other, comprises a continually rotating drum which carries a stationary gripping member and a movable gripping member, which receive cold glue from a glue supply device and grip the uppermost label from the stack of labels to transmit this label to one of the advanced containers. The movable gripping member is movable under the control of a cam arrangement toward the front end of the label being transmitted and carries that front end therealong whereas the stationary gripping member while passing the rear end of the label applies glue to that rear end.

摘要： A bottle labeling machine has a turret rotating on a fixed axle. The turret has circumferentially spaced apart curved glue pallets mounted on individual pallet shafts supported in oscillatable drive members, respectively, which drive the shafts. The pallets orbit and oscillate to pick up glue from a roller, pick up a label next and deposit the label on a cylinder from which it is transferred eventually to a bottle. The drive members are externally splined axially and are each surrounded by an internally axially splined clutch member. The drive member has a smooth bore to permit it to rotate on a shaft that is driven in oscillating fashion as the turret rotates. The oscillating shaft has a transversely extending element on which there are axially projecting teeth that engage in corresponding recesses in the clutch member to effect oscillation of the pallet shaft. In response to an interruption in bottle delivery, a locking member on the turret engages the clutch member which rides off of the driving teeth to stop oscillation of the pallet when it is in a path that would clear the glue source, the label and the cylinder while the drive shaft is still controlled to oscillate but not sufficiently to reengage the teeth. As the turret rotates to the single position at about which the drive member was locked, the cam increases the oscillation amplitude to cause the teeth to reengage for driving the drive member again and no locking action will occur if there is no response resulting from an interruption in the series of bottles.

摘要： A bottle labeling machine is provided with a rotating support which carries a pickup element past a gluing station, a label magazine to pick up a label and a label transfer station. Supplementary means are provided to rotate the pickup element either clockwise or counterclockwise so as to speed it up or slow it down relative to the stations for matching its speed to that required at each station to effect a smooth pass at each station. A pair of cam followers are provided operating on two independent tracks with two lever arms connecting them to the supplementary means for rotating the pickup element. The lever arms may be rigid as one and have an intermediate axis about which they pivot or they may be independently pivoted at one end about one of the cam followers, the other end of one arm being connected to the second cam follower and the other end of the second arm being connected to the supplementary rotating means.
