摘要: An airflow system for a waste conveyor, having a conveyor enclosure with a bottom side configured for being mounted above a conveyor surface. One or more air flow unit enclosures are mounted to the conveyor enclosure. Each air flow unit enclosure has a divergent channel with a channel intake end fluidly connected to the air exhaust and a channel discharge end configured for providing a stream of air (Q) toward the conveyor surface. The divergent channel has a widening cross section (Xd) in a downstream air direction (D) between the channel intake end and the channel discharge end of the divergent channel, and is arranged at an angle (α) larger than 0° and smaller than 45° degrees with respect to the bottom side of the conveyor enclosure.

摘要: A decelerator comprising a deceleration tank and an extraction conveyor is disclosed. The decelerator is adapted for use with apples or similar objects. These objects are delivered to the tank from a pneumatic tube transport system. The tank contains a quantity of liquid such as water. In one embodiment, the objects splash into the water and are extracted from the water by an extraction conveyor. In a second embodiment, a baffle gate divides the tank between a forward section and a rear section. The delivered objects splash into the water in the forward section, travel under the baffle gate, and are extracted from the water by an extraction conveyor in communication with the rear tank section. In another embodiment, the tank is divided into first, second and third sections by selectively appeasable gate which provides an air lock arrangement. The extraction conveyor can comprise a plurality of side belts and a plurality of foraminous, flexible cradles hung between the belts.

摘要: In a method and a system for installing loose insulation, loose wool is transported, in compacted state and packed in e.g. filled bags (12), to the site where the insulation operation is to be performed and where loose wool (11) received from the bags is mechanically fluffed, and where the fluffed loose wool is transported by blowing it through a hose (15) to the location where it is to be placed; and the loose wool supplied through the hose (15) is spread on said location in the desired configuration. The novelty of the invention resides in that the bags (12) containing loose wool first are so arranged as to be able, successively and in a controlled manner, to discharge the compacted loose wool contained therein for automatic fluffing and onward blowing through the hose, whereupon from the location where the spreading of loose wool takes place, the discharge of compacted loose wool from the bags is remote-controlled in connection with the spreading, whereby the method can be carried out by a single operator.

摘要: A cane harvester (10) having an endless conveyor (15) for elevating cane billets from a chopper (14) for deposit through a passage (44) onto a secondary elevator (16). A fan (17) directs a blast of air across the pasage (44) to force trash and leaves through an outlet chute (18). A rake assembly (25) is provided above the conveyor (15) to level and even the billets and trash thereon and an air jet arrangement (47, 48, 57, 58) is disposed at the upper end of the conveyor (15) to prevent build up of trash and assist the conveyance of trash and billets through the passage (44). A trash deflecting assembly (74) is provided in the outlet chute (18) so that the direction of trash exiting therefrom can be selectively varied.

摘要: A cleaning system for cleaning a pneumatic conveyance system used to transport particulate material. The pneumatic conveyance system includes a material-introduction device for introducing particulate material into a convey line, and a motive air source for generating an air flow to propel the particulate material through the convey line. The cleaning system comprises a projectile comprising a cleaning surface for cleaning an interior of the convey line as the projectile travels through the convey line, a launcher for injecting the projectile into the convey line, with the launcher being coupled with the convey line at a position upstream from the material-introduction device, and a catcher vessel for receiving the projectile upon said projectile exiting the convey line.
