摘要： An arrangement for folding and reinforcing an edge portion of a fabric includes at least two pairs of press rolls and a folding unit therebetween. The folding unit is provided with a conveyor whose upper extension projects beyond the plane along which the fabric is forwarded. Thus, the edge portion will be lifted when engaged by this conveyor while the remaining portion of the fabric is downwardly pressed by a stationary press pad. Cooperating with this conveyor is a further conveyor which has a section inwardly directed toward the edge portion so that once the edge portion is lifted by the one conveyor, the other conveyor will fold the edge portion through the inward motion.

摘要： A seal useful in sealing slide out rooms used in recreational vehicles. The seal may be used singularly or in pairs to straddle a wall through which the opening is located. A bulb is attached to the base in a cantilevered manner over the base. The bulb has an outer arcuate portion that is integrally joined to opposing sidewall portions. The sidewall portions extend into an inner wall that defines an enclosed space within the bulb portion. The bulb portion may also have a protrusion that can touch the base. A wiper extends from the base substantially co-linearly to the base and opposite the offsetting member. A locating leg extending from the base is movable between a first position and a second position. The first position has the locating leg perpendicular to the base and the second position places the locating leg parallel to the base.

摘要： An automatic bag folding apparatus is disclosed for folding vehicular air bags. The bag folding apparatus includes a base, a holding fixture, an end fold assembly, and a tuck assembly. The air bag folded by the apparatus may be coupled to a reaction plate with a center portion of the air bag overlying the reaction plate and parameters of the center portion defined by the reaction plate. The air bag further includes side folds and a first end adjacent the center portion. The holding fixture receives the reaction plate, thereby securing the center portion of the air bag. The end fold assembly is carried by the base, and has an end fold blade movable between a support position spaced from the holding fixture for supporting the first end of the air bag, and a fold position adjacent the holding fixture for folding the first end to form an end fold. The tuck assembly is carried by the base for forming an end tuck in the end fold.

Pivotally mounted within and extending outwardly from the frame above the annular pad (70) are a plurality of upper arms (110). A plurality of lower arms (126) are similarly mounted below the annular pad (70) and are positioned between the upper arms (110). Mounted within the frame (22) above the upper arms (110) is a platform (26) for supporting a quantity of flexible tubular material. Mounted to the frame above the platform (26) is an advancing mechanism (50). The upper and lower arms (110 and 126) are actuated alternately to form the length of flexible tubular material into a plurality of folds each extending parallel to the annular pad (70).

摘要： In laundry processing, a conveyor rotates a textile article in a first stage. The article is held while part of the article rests on the conveyor. By conveying while held, the textile article rotates, positioning an edge of the article. In a second stage, the conveyor conveys the article to a clamp. This clamp holds the article while the conveyor reverses direction and a blower attempts to flatten the article if folded. The textile article rotates, positioning the edge of the article to be more parallel with the direction of conveyance. In a third stage, the article is dragged by the edge over a gap where gravity and blowing attempt to flatten the article. In a fourth stage, the flattened article is positioned over a stack. A blower directs air at a center of the article to blow out the corners and assist in maintaining position.
