摘要: Deployment of coiled tubing may be assisted using an apparatus comprising a source of coiled tubing, a coiled tubing distributor that comprises a passageway adapted to allow engaging the coiled tubing from the source of coiled tubing where the passageway comprises a coiled tubing receiver comprising a predetermined radius and a support frame, connected to the passageway, that is adapted to accept a portion of the coiled tubing therethrough, and a slip disposed intermediate the passageway and the support frame where the slip is adapted to accept a portion of the coiled tubing therethrough. The apparatus may be mounted to a structure and a portion of the coiled tubing deployed from the source of coiled tubing about the coiled tubing receiver through the slip. The apparatus is allowed to compensate for motion of the structure while the portion of the coiled tubing is deployed about the coiled tubing receiver through the slip.

The empty robot can be removed from the hold of the vessel and put in a position to receive a another depalletized stack of cartons. In one option the robot has a plurality of fork channels for receiving the blades of a load push lift truck along with receiving the blades or a rotating lift truck.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention are generally directed to davits for raising, lowering, and transporting loads. In general, davits described herein are portable and are capable of attaching to various mounting locations. The portable davit 100 includes a base mount 102 and an intermediate mount 104 for mounting the portable davit 100 to a mounting location. The base mount 102 and the intermediate mount 104 are couplable to a mast 106 for supporting the portable davit 100 when generally carrying a load L. The portable davit 100 also includes a jib 108 hingedly coupled to the mast 106 through a coupling 118. The jib 108 is configured to rotate about the coupling 118 such that the jib 108 is positionable at a lifting angle 120.

摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to jack-up units employing a multi-purpose derrick structure for drilling, plug, abandonment, and decommissioning operations. The multi-purpose derrick structure includes a mast that may be vertically oriented in a first configuration to facilitate drilling, plug, and abandonment procedures, or may be pivotably positioned in a second configuration for decommissioning operations or other procedures. In the pivoting position, the mast functions as a heavy lift crane. One or more selective pivoting structures at the base of the multi-purpose derrick structure, and one or more actuators, facilitate the multiple uses of the multi-purpose derrick structure.

摘要: A relocating apparatus having a pivot connector for removably pivotally connecting the apparatus to a mast of a sailing vessel. The relocating apparatus also includes a telescoping sleeve assembly which supports a cable which can be connected to a load such as a dinghy. The cable is retracted about a drum which is rotated by a winch handle inserted in the relocating apparatus causing the dinghy to be raised. The relocating apparatus is swung about the pivot connecter to place the dinghy into position near a deck edge of the vessel. The telescoping sleeve assembly is then retracted or extended as desired by inserting the winch handle in a second socket and rotating the winch handle in the desired direction. After the dinghy has been located above the desired position, the cable is extended by inserting the winch handle in the proper socket and rotating the handle.

摘要: The invention is directed to a stablilized cargo-handling system using means for stabilizing suspended cargo in all six degrees of freedom using six individually controlled cable in tension in a unique kinematic arrangement. Inertial and distance sensors, coupled with high-performance cable drives, provide the means to control the multi-cabled crane automatically. The distance sensors are used to track the target container or lighter during the pickup and setdown modes of operation; the inertial sensors are used to prevent pendulation during transfer of the cargo from the seagoing cargo ship to the vicinity of the receiving lighter. The complete stabilized shipboard crane system permits safe and efficient operations in relatively high sea states.
