摘要: Methods of forming an aqueous silica suspension are provided. The methods include admixing water, an organic acid, a silica powder, and a siliconate under certain conditions. The silica powder includes undensified silica powder in an amount of at least about 50% by weight and has a specific gravity in the range of from about 2.1 to about 2.5, a bulk density in the range of from about 12 lb/ft3 to about 40 lb/ft3, and a water requirement of from about 80 to about 250 at a pH in the range of from about 5.5 to about 7.5. Also provided are aqueous silica suspensions, hydraulic cement compositions, and methods of cementing in a well.

摘要: A premixed photoluminescent composition and related hardened form and method of forming joints for pavers or stones. The premixed photoluminescent composition comprises solid aggregates; a photoluminescent particulate component adapted to emit light when photoexcited; and a binder. When in contact with an activator, oxygen or water, the binder is adapted to harden into a water-resistant binder matrix that bonds the solid aggregates and embeds the photoluminescent particulate component. In use, the water-resistant binder matrix has a transparency allowing transmission of at least a portion of the light emitted by the photoluminescent particulate component.

A method of making the ceramic honeycomb body having the skin includes disposing a sheet on an outer peripheral wall of a honeycomb core having an outer surface spaced apart from interiors of the partial cells and skinning the body having the sheet disposed thereon. Subsequent curing in the method bonds the skin to cell walls of the body spaced apart from interiors of the partial cells.

摘要: A method for forming cement-based cementitious material includes: pouring a cement paste into a mold; applying an electrical current to the cement paste to perform an electro-osmotic reaction; and transferring the reacted cement paste into a water tank for curing, thereby obtaining a functionally graded cement-based cementitious material. A pair of electrodes is placed in the mold and connected to an external power source. The compressive strength of the functionally graded cement-based cementitious material in the middle is lower than that at either of both ends.

摘要: The circumference coating material fills a recessed groove that is formed on a circumferential surface of a honeycomb fired body and extends an axial direction at which a part of cells are opened to the outside and to cover the circumferential surface, thereby forming a circumferential wall on the circumferential surface of a honeycomb structure, and the circumference coating material includes colloidal silica in a part of raw materials to be used and has a chlorine concentration of 150 ppm or less. In addition, the colloidal silica to be used has a chlorine concentration of 500 ppm or less, and the colloidal silica is produced using at least any one acid of sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and organic acid.
