Abstract: The present invention provides an electrolyte additive with multiple functions when introduced into an electrolyte. Specifically, under high or overcharged voltage conditions, a high redox potential enables stable shuttling between the electrodes of an electrochemical device, facilitating oxidation reactions at the positive electrode and reducing exothermic reactions occurring at the electrodes. The oxidized electrolyte additive can then shuttle to the negative electrode, where it converts inactive metal into metal ion while self-reducing to its original state. It then diffuses back to the positive electrode for further oxidation, creating a cyclic reaction that effectively rejuvenates inactive metal and significantly prolongs the lifespan of the electrochemical device. Simultaneously, this electrolyte additive can generate a beneficial solid electrolyte interfacial functional group. This process results in the formation of a dense and beneficial solid electrolyte interface layer on the surface of the negative electrode, thereby enhancing the battery's overall performance.

Abstract: An air mattress system includes a mattress including main cells arranged in parallel between a head end and a tail end of the mattress. At least one of the main cells allows air pressure therein to be individually adjusted or adjusted together with air pressure of other main cells. Air pressure valves are connected to the main cells. A controller controls at least one of the air pressure valves to perform an inflation operation or a deflation operation. A human machine interface system provides health care items and receives a selective operation of a first target item among the health care items. The controller controls, according to the first target item, the air pressure valves to sequentially perform one of the deflation inflation operations on the main cells along a major axis between the head end and the tail end, and a health care operation is thus assisted.

Abstract: A method for increasing the cycle life of an electrochemical device comprises the steps of: providing an electrochemical device comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator, the negative electrode being at least partially or entirely coated with a lithiophilic metal, a metalloid, and/or an alloy layer thereof; charging the electrochemical device, the positive electrode generating a polysulfide shuttling through the separator to the negative electrode and oxidizes the inactive lithium into the active lithium. This method protects the negative electrode current collector from generating copper sulfide, inhibiting the generation of lithium sulfide, allowing the sulfur to continuously participate in the charging and discharging and depositing dense lithium metal, thereby increasing the cycle life of the battery and maintaining its electrical properties.

Abstract: A method and system to quickly analyze and predict battery failure and short-circuit comprises a battery cell unit carried with a sensor unit continuing detect a value of a condition of the battery cell unit to obtain a time domain result. The system will further convert the time domain result into a frequency domain result and will send an alarm or warning if such frequency domain result has exceeded a pre-set threshold. The present invention could accurately send the reminder or warning of the upcoming short-circuit at earlier stage of the battery cell unit by simply analyzing the time domain result converting as the frequency domain result. The system provided by the present invention has the ability to detect micro-circuit of the battery cell unit to facilitate detecting battery failure and short-circuit to avoid any emergency happened to the battery while using.

Abstract: The invention provides a composite particle material for selective laser sintering (SLS), which is composed of an inorganic powder coated with a binder. The composite particulate material is formed by mixing the inorganic powder and the binder to have the binder directly coated on the outer surface of the inorganic powder. In addition, the inorganic powder to be coated by the binder is preferably using a powder having a smaller particle size and a larger particle size distribution, and thereby the production cost can be greatly reduced. Further, since the outer surface of the inorganic powder is coated with the binder, there are no problems such as causing oxidation of the inorganic powder and so on. Furthermore, manufacturing the composite particle material can be easily carried out in a general ambient or an atmospheric environment, and the powder material after use is recyclable.

Abstract: The present invention provides a polymer composite particle material for three-dimensional printing. The polymer composite particle material is formed by embedding a carbon powder on a surface of a polymer powder. When the carbon powder is mixed with the polymer powder, a device with a shear force is used for stirring. Heating is performed during the stirring, such that melting occurs at the surface of the polymer powder. The carbon powder is embedded on the surface of the polymer powder to form a shell-core structure powder, and at the same time, the carbon powder is uniformly coated. The preparation method is simple and no additional dispersant and binder are needed. Besides the carbon powder will not easily separate from the polymer powder. At the same time, the agglomerated carbon powder can be dispersed by rubbing and evenly dispersed around the polymer powder to reduce a laser reflectivity.
