摘要： A trigger assembly for a firearm includes a housing with an opening adapted to receive a trigger bar guide portion of a trigger bar. The opening includes a ridge that extends downward from an upper surface of the opening. The trigger bar guide is forced downward in the opening by a connector as the trigger is pulled to cause a first disconnect of a striker resulting in a first firing. Upon release of the trigger the trigger bar guide moves upward and upon return to a released position is forced downward to cause a secondary disconnect of striker resulting in a second firing.

摘要： Removal of a hammer from a trigger housing of a shotgun and subsequent replacement of the same or another hammer is facilitated by designing the firing mechanism such that, when the hammer is in its released position, neither the hammer nor the pivot pin mounting the hammer in the trigger housing is subjected to any biasing forces. The hammer can thus be removed, without interference from any other components of the firing mechanism, simply by removing the pivot pin. Such removal is made possible by providing a mainspring assembly which seats on the hammer when the hammer is cocked and unseats from the hammer and seats on another element, such as a seat formed on a sidewall of the trigger housing, when the hammer moves from its cocked to its released position. The removal process can be adapted for use in either a single barrel or a double barrel shotgun, and permits quick and easy conversion from pull firing to release firing.

摘要： A trigger release mechanism is disclosed which changes the action of the factory trigger mechanism by moving the pivot point of the trigger forward through the use of an extension fork extending forwardly of the factory trigger base. In normal movement, with the factory pivot point, as the trigger is pulled rearward, the trigger actuated end of the sear is pulled downwardly, lifting the hammer engaging end of the sear to disengage the hammer and allow the hammer to fall. However, by changing this pivot point, the sear catch of the trigger actuated linkage indexes on the trigger actuated end of the sear only when the trigger is pulled backwardly. Spring tension from a spring plunger absorbs the potential energy caused by the upward movement of the trigger base. Upon release of finger pressure on the trigger, the spring loaded plunger releases kinetic energy to furnish the downward thrust to force the trigger actuated end of the sear downwardly so as to raise the hammer engagement end of said sear out of engagement with the hammer and release same.

摘要： A trigger mechanism that can be used in AR-pattern firearms has a hammer, a trigger member, a disconnector, a locking member, and a “three position” safety selector having safe, standard semi-automatic, and forced reset semi-automatic positions. In the standard semi-automatic position, rearward movement of the bolt carrier causes rearward pivoting of the hammer such that the disconnector hook catches the hammer hook, at which time a user must manually release the trigger member to free the hammer from the disconnector to permit the hammer and trigger member to pivot to the set positions so that the user can pull the trigger member to fire the firearm. In the forced reset semi-automatic position, rearward movement of the bolt carrier causes rearward pivoting of the hammer causing the trigger member to be forced to the set position, the safety selector preventing the disconnector hook from catching the hammer hook, and thereafter when the bolt carrier reaches the substantially in-battery position the user can pull the trigger member to fire the firearm without manually releasing the trigger member. The locking member is pivotable between a first position at which the locking member mechanically blocks the trigger member from moving to the released position and a second position at which the locking member does not mechanically block the trigger member allowing the trigger member to be moved to the released position. The locking member is spring biased toward the first position and moved against the spring bias to the second position by contact from the bolt carrier during forward movement of the bolt carrier as the bolt carrier reaches a substantially in-battery position.
