    摘要: A bullpup-shaped rifle (“BSR”) or assault rifle (“AR”) able to expel a bullet is disclosed. In some embodiments, the BSR includes a firing control unit (“FCU”), grip module, bullpup rear attachment, and bolt and barrel assembly. The FCU is a serialized trigger mechanism capable of initiating launching a directional object when a trigger of the FCU is pulled. The grip module which contains a grip, FCU housing, and rear stabilizing connector, wherein the FCU housing is configured to house a removable FCU. The bullpup rear attachment which is coupled to the rear stabilizing connector for enhancing stability is configured to have a magazine port for receiving a magazine. The bolt and barrel assembly which is situated above the magazine port inside of the bullpup rear attachment behind the FCU facilitates the firing of the object.

    摘要: A trigger assembly apparatus includes spherical portion(s) and spherical bearing(s), rounded sear, stabilizing catch, and complimentary shield. In an exemplary embodiment, the spherical portion(s) and spherical bearing(s) respond to non-linear movement. Further, the interaction of the spherical portion(s) and spherical bearing(s) results in the mobility of the trigger in relation to the 6 degrees of freedom thereby resulting in the firearm being generally unaffected by side to side movement of the trigger during activation. The trigger assembly may also include but is not limited to a rounded sear, stabilizing catch, and complimentary shield. The rounded portion of the sear engages the hammer stop notch at a single point further resulting in the firearm being generally unaffected by side to side movement of the trigger. Additionally the stabilizing catch and shield helps facilitate the proper reset of the trigger assembly.

    摘要: forward closed breech position in battery with the barrel and rearward open breech position, a cockable hammer controlled by a trigger, and a bolt release mechanism operably interacting with the bolt. The mechanism may comprise a user-actuated release button and spring-biased disconnect lever coupled thereto and selectively engageable with the hammer. Upon firing, the bolt travels rearward under recoil contacting and partially rotating the disconnect lever to engage the hammer, while simultaneously engaging the hammer which holds the bolt rearward. Actuating the release button fully rotates the disconnect lever to disengage the hammer from the bolt which returns to its forward position via a recoil spring to reclose the breech. A dual interlock safety in one position provided by the release mechanism prevents pulling the trigger and in another position prevents actuating the release button.

    摘要: Systems for a firearm are provided to increase safety, reduce complexity, and improve precision of the weapon. In general, examples of the systems including a safe axis firing pin that prevents unintended discharge are described herein, where the firing pin is not aligned with the primer of a chambered cartridge until the user intends to fire the firearm. Embodiments of the system are capable of modular installation and generally include a user-actuated trigger configured to displace the firing pin from a safe axis to a firing axis, by rotation, translation, or a combination thereof. Additional features are provided to prevent displacement of the firing pin by input other than the trigger, e.g., if the firearm is dropped. In another aspect, examples of the systems described herein include a barrel interfacing a slide where the barrel and slide include features to centrally align the barrel as the slide completes a cycle.
