    摘要: Time delay apparatus for providing a firing action at the end of a predetermined time-delay period. It is used with a source of fluid under pressure, and defines a fluid-receiving chamber for accumulating the fluid when released from the source. A flow controller is connected between the source and the fluid-receiving chamber for providing fluid communication between the source and the fluid-receiving chamber. A triggering assembly initiates flow of fluid from the source through the flow controller and into the fluid-receiving chamber. A piston-form firing pin in the fluid-receiving chamber is actuated by shear pin release for movement to an actuating position for desired firing action when a predetermined pressure has accumulated in the fluid-receiving chamber at the end of the predetermined time-delay period.

To avoid dangerous detonation at the surface, a pressure responsive mechanism is set to respond to a pressure indicative of operation at a selected depth. This pressure setting arms the detonator in cooperation with an electrical arming mechanism operative in response to a selected current flow at a required voltage for a selected interval.

    摘要: An antirunaway device for a hand grenade fuze utilizes a spring biased deted firing pin-slider assembly to interlock a torque biased rotatably held detonator assembly in an out-of-line "safe" position when the biased firing pin-slider assembly senses the absence of a restraining, properly functioning, axially aligned dashpot timer assembly. A slider blocking member is depressed into a groove provided therefor, by the slider assembly, to allow the detonator assembly to rotate into an in-line "armed" position when the slider assembly mechanically senses the presence of a properly functioning dashpot timer assembly, but remains in a blocking position when the timer is not properly functioning.

    摘要: An energy generator for rotating projectiles which may be adapted to prod either electrical or mechanical energy. An armature in the form of a rotatable disc is offset from the spin axis of the projectile towards the outer periphery thereof. The disc is normally biased in a first position and is caused by virtue of a mass delivery mechanism actuated by centrifugal forces, to rotate to a second position. The mass delivery mechanism provides masses in the form of weighted balls to a slot formed in the outer periphery of the disc and the centrifugal force rotates the disc to its second position. An outlet chute is adapted to receive the weighted ball whereupon the disc rerotates to its first position. The oscillatory motion of the armature may be utilized to couple out either the electrical or mechanical energy.
