摘要: An actuator lock is provided to prevent movement of an actuator until the actuator lock is released. A first member of the lock is movable in response to fluid pressure within a chamber to move from a locked position to an unlocked position allowing the actuator to move. The first member is held at the unlock position by a latching member so that the lock cannot return to the locked position. During testing of the actuator, a test member is operable to reversibly move the first member from the locked position to an unlocked and unlatched position.

摘要: The sub-munition is provided with an arming device comprising a striker member, movable substantially in the direction of its longitudinal axis, and a detonator carried by a slide movable from a first position in which the detonator is located out of the path of the striker member to a second position in which the detonator is brought into the path of the said member and beneath it; the striker member is provided with a threaded stem screwed into a threaded hole of a bush movable axially on the body of the sub-munition in such a way that the striker member is brought from the said first to the said second position upon unscrewing of the stem from the threaded hole; a pair of strip form flexible elements are connected to the striker member, one end of which flexible elements is fixed to the striker member and each of which can be disposed, when the sub-munition is expelled from the projectile, in a twisted configuration in such a way that the aerodynamic forces acting on them cause a moment to be transmitted to the striker member to unscrew this member itself from the associated threaded hole.

摘要: Two cylinder chambers are provided in a housing, each of these chambers containing a piston. Pins project, as piston rods, from the pistons in differing directions. A duct is located in a zone between the pistons. This duct is in communication with a compressed gas cartridge. Upon triggering of the compressed gas cartridge, the released gas moves the pistons apart so that the pins are moved simultaneously or in accordance with a predetermined sequence of operations.

The housing preferably comprises a bellows element and the energy source is preferably a piezoelectric element. The device is useful for multiple shot blasting wherein one explosive charge is initiated by the shock wave from a previously exploded charge.

摘要: A fuze system for cluster weapons comprises a dispenser fuze signal generr, low complexity bomblet fuze signal receivers and a fluidic signal link. The dispenser fuze generates a pneumatic enabling and arming signal to the bomblet fuzes and opens the dispenser. Deformable signal processing diaphragms and detents enable the bomblet fuzes and arm the bomblets upon dispenser opening.

摘要: According to a first aspect of the invention, there is provided an object for moving through a fluid, the object comprising: an outer housing, arranged to be exposed to a hydrostatic pressure exerted by the fluid; a strain gauge, arranged to obtain an indication of the hydrostatic pressure, wherein a first part of the strain gauge is arranged to be in contact with the outer housing, such that the strain gauge is arranged to obtain an indication of the hydrostatic pressure by obtaining an indication of the strain on the housing.

摘要: A pressure sensor for use with a sea mine for detecting the presence of a ssing vessel by sensing a change in ambient water pressure caused by the Bernoulli effect relating to hydrodynamic flow induced by the vessel's motion. The sensor emits a responsive signal which can be used alone, or with signals from other influence sensors (acoustic and magnetic), to determine when the sea mine shoud be exploded. The sensor provides for equal sensitivity independent of the ambient pressure of the water at various depths at which sea mines may be planted, and employs electrical filters to eliminate noise.
