摘要: An exterior gauge component is used to indicate a tank liquid level based on a rotational orientation of a tank magnet at a gauge head. The exterior gauge component includes a multi-track rotary encoder wheel and an optical sensor configured for reading an output of the multi-track rotary encoder wheel. The multi-track rotary encoder wheel is configured to rotate with rotation of the tank magnet such that specific ranges of rotational orientation of the tank magnet each corresponds to a specific output of the multi-track rotary encoder wheel. Each track represents a binary bit of the output read by the optical sensor. An adapter plate mounts a housing of the exterior gauge component to the gauge head and has an opening therethrough. A proximal end portion of the housing including magnets extends through the opening, and is detachable from the housing and attachable to a threaded adapter for mounting to a threaded opening of a tank.

The holder may include a bottom portion and a first snap fit structure, which may include a pair of support portions provided with an interval therebetween, and provided on the bottom portion. First and second interval portions may be provided between the pair of support portions, the first interval portion may hold the arm, and the second interval portion may be provided above the first interval portion and be narrower than a width of the arm held in the first interval portion. The cover may include a deformation restricting portion provided at a position facing an outer surface of at least one of the pair of support portions.

摘要: One embodiment of a fuel tank assembly includes a fuel sending unit having a float with a small thickness, which heretofore has been too thin to secure a stand-alone magnet thereon. The float may be manufactured in a complex shape or in a small size. In one embodiment the float may be manufactured of a material having magnetized particles interspersed throughout the float such that the float does not require a stand alone magnet secured thereon. The float may be manufactured of a material having a foaming agent added thereto so as to provide a finished product with air filled voids positioned throughout the float to increase the buoyancy of the finished float product.

A thickness of the blocking portion at a tip end of the sliding surface portion is greater than a diameter of the extending portion.

摘要: A fluid level sensor includes a magnetic field generator that generates a magnetic field varying with time. A metallic member is disposed in a region in which the magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generator is present. The metallic member is movable relative to the magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generator based upon a fluid level to be measured. The metallic member has an effective geometry defining the magnitude of eddy currents induced in the metallic member due to the magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generator. The effective geometry is changed when the metallic member is moved relative to the magnetic field generator. A sensing device detects the eddy currents induced in the metallic member, and a fluid level determination device determines the fluid level based on the eddy currents induced in the metallic member. A method of use of the device is also disclosed.
