摘要: A coin feeding apparatus comprising: a disk that includes a plurality of protrusions on a surface of the disk, is disposed to be inclined and rotatable, and, when rotating, causes a first coin or a second coin to be caught on and carried upward by the plurality of protrusions, the second coin having a diameter greater than that of the first coin; a cover that forms, between the cover and a surface of the disk, a space for storing a coin therein; and a separation unit that separates one coin out of two of the first coins from the plurality of protrusions so as to cause the one coin to fall into the space, the two first coins being caught on the plurality of protrusions side by side.

摘要: Chip sorting devices may include at least one chip collection tube having at least one adjustable wall that at least partially defines an inner diameter of the at least one chip collection tube. The at least one adjustable wall may be at least partially rotatable to define different inner diameters. Chip sorting devices may include a chip hopper having a relief mechanism for clearing chips that become jammed between a chip chamber and a base plate of the chip hopper. Methods of sorting chips may include actuating the relief mechanism to increase a space between a top plate of the relief mechanism and the chip chamber. Methods of setting up a chip sorting device may include adjusting an inner lateral dimension of the at least one chip collection tube.

摘要: Currency processing systems, coin processing machines, and methods of sorting coins with disk-type sorters are presented herein. A currency processing system is disclosed which includes a housing with an input area for receiving coins and receptacles for stowing processed coins. A disk-type coin processing unit is coupled to the coin input area and coin receptacles. The coin processing unit includes a rotatable disk for imparting motion to coins, and a sorting head adjacent the rotatable disk with shaped regions for guiding moving coins to exit channels which sort and discharge coins through exit stations to the coin receptacles. The sorting head includes a plurality of localized inserts that are fabricated from a material or materials which is/are distinct from the material of the sorting head. Each localized insert has a distinct shape and is readily removably attached at a distinct one of various predetermined locations on the sorting head.

A currency processing system is disclosed which includes a housing with a coin input area for receiving coins and coin receptacles for stowing processed coins. A disk-type coin processing unit includes a rotatable disk for imparting motion to input coins, and a sorting head for separating and discharging coins from exit stations. An automated coin chute receives coins from one of the exit stations. The automated coin chute includes a movable diverter plate that selectively transitions between a first position, whereby coins received from the exit station of the disk-type coin processing unit are redirected through a coin-recycling output passage to a coin-recycling receptacle, and a second position, whereby coins received from the exit station are redirected through a coin-depositing output passage to a coin-depositing receptacle.

摘要: A coin bank includes a housing having a coin receiving area for receiving unsorted coins, a coin sorting area for sorting the unsorted coins, and a coin storage area for storing sorted coins. The coin storage area includes a drawer slidably mounted in the housing. It can also include a coin tube support mounted in the drawer for movement between an inclined position when the drawer is fully retracted in the housing and an upright position when the drawer is fully extended from the housing. A semi-automatic opening device displaces the drawer from its retracted position to its extended position. In one embodiment, a battery operated drawer drive unit is releasably coupled with the housing and is selectively operable to displace the drawer between the retracted and extended positions thereof. The releasable coupling can include a lever pivotal to disengage from the drive unit, thus releasing the drawer for manual displacement between the retracted and extended positions thereof.
