    摘要： A beverage advertising display is provided with a motorized simulation of a liquid pouring out of an aluminum beverage can and provided with a battery compartment for easy access and replacement of batteries. The liquid pouring simulation is achieved by rotating a tapered ribbon affixed by a disc to a rotatable shaft on a motor. The disc is concentrically affixed to a circular surface area at the top end of the ribbon. The battery compartment holds a pair of batteries inside a pair of cavities in the bottom section of the beverage container. A double-ended spring clip rotatably mounted between the cavities holds the batteries therein, provides electrical contact between the batteries to power the motor, and provides easy access to replace the batteries.

    摘要： A display scissors having two elongate members which are movable with respect to one another. The first elongate member has one end portion configured to represent a first blade element of a scissors and an opposite end portion configured to represent a first loop element of the scissors. The first loop element is curved in a clockwise direction. The second elongate member has one end portion configured to represent a second blade element of the scissors and an opposite end portion configured to represent a second loop element of the scissors. The second loop element is curved in a counter-clockwise direction. The second blade element is positioned generally parallel to the first blade element and points in a similar direction to that of the first blade element. The display scissors includes mounting means for pivotally moving the first elongate member in one direction and simultaneously and pivotally moving the second elongate member in an opposite direction about a common axis.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for animating a display device including a figure mounted for rotation on a support for the device and having a laterally extending element from the body of the figure with a flexible tendon secured thereto and an action element secured to the free end of the tendon is disclosed. Additionally, a stationary reaction rod is positioned adjacent the figure, and figure driving means is connected to rotate the figure. On rotation, the weighted action element swings outward under centrifugal force, and the figure dwells or remains in a stationary position facing a predetermined side of the display when the tendon engages the reaction rod winds, unwinds and swings free thereof in the manner of an escapement mechanism. The reaction rod, weighted element and preferably the projecting element are all formed as objects relating to an activity being simulated by the figure. Various constructions of the driving means are shown.

An object is located on a pedestal in the other room and is lighted to reflect the light through a lens of spherical sectors having liquid filled cavities to reduce and focus the image of the object in the water of the aquarium giving the object the illusion of being smaller than it is and located in the tank when it is not. Motors are provided to selectively move the pedestal and the aquarium to give the object the appearance of moving through the water or of being in the water as the aquarium is moved.
