A corresponding method is further described.

摘要: An energized parts guard is disclosed comprising a panel of substantially rigid, electrically insulative material wherein the substantially rigid panel further comprises a first one or more apertures and a second one or more apertures. The first one or more apertures are so dimensioned to accept one or more circuit breakers inserted into the first one or more apertures such that there is less than a 12.5 mm gap between the panel and the circuit breaker on at least two sides of the one or more circuit breakers. The second one or more apertures are positioned to facilitate access to at least one terminal of each of the one or more circuit breakers when the one or more circuit breakers are inserted into the first one or more apertures.

摘要: An assembly or adapter configured to provide a supply-side interconnect of electrical power to a distribution board. The adapter may be incorporated internal or external to the distribution board, by occupying the space of one or more circuit breakers, inserting an adapter into a meter termination socket, or the like. The adapter includes terminals provided to route the conductors from the utility to a breakout panel (or subpanel) for adding power devices as a supply side interconnect, and back to a regular route that may go through the meter and/or the main circuit breaker, and on to the loads. A switching component may provide an inline configuration that configures the conductors for backup function, and a parallel configuration that is a parallel interconnecting route when utility service is available.

The circuit breaker may have an electrical clip with a curved inner surface that contacts a curved outer surface of an electrical connector on the electrical panel. The circuit breaker may also have a protrusion that prevents the circuit breaker from being installed in electrical panels without an electrical connector for the electrical clip to engage.

摘要: A circuit breaker with an integrated motorized racking mechanism, automatically provides electrical power to the racking motor when the breaker is inserted into a breaker compartment. The racking motor remains powered when the breaker is in either a disconnected position, a testing position, or a fully connected position. A racking power plug mounted within the circuit breaker conducts electrical power to the racking motor by automatically connecting to a stationary racking power receptacle mounted in the breaker compartment, and remains connected as the circuit breaker moves through the breaker compartment during the racking operation. A control power plug is mounted in the circuit breaker to connect to a stationary control power receptacle mounted in the breaker compartment and to conduct control power to control circuits in the circuit breaker after the racking motor has completed racking the circuit breaker into the connected position in the breaker compartment.
