摘要: The disclosed hydroelectric power generation system includes a waterwheel rotated by falling water having multiple curved portions. Multiple circular members each having a cover are loaded in a corresponding one of the multiple curved portions, elevated with the cover in an open position to empty the circular member, filled with water upon reaching a top dead point thereof, and allowed to fall freely with the cover in a closed position. The cover of the circular members are automatically opened and closed. A track extends downwardly from a point at which the curved portion of the waterwheel is turned into a downwardly inclined position. The track guides the circular member to move by gravity along the track. A feed track allows the circular members to be supplied back to respective curved portions during rotation of the waterwheel. An output shaft of a gear train drives a generator.

摘要: The present invention pertains to systems and methods for controlling machines that generate electricity using a source of renewable energy, namely gravity. In overview, an electro-magnetic subsystem of the machine harvests the kinetic energy of a buoyant shuttle as it falls through air and into a bi-level tank. The shuttle is then arrested in the bi-level water tank and returned, by virtue of the shuttle's buoyancy, to its start point for a subsequent duty cycle. The return of the shuttle is made possible by a hydro-pneumatic subsystem of the machine that overcomes the potential energy needed to raise and lower the upper water level in the bi-level tank to compensate for a transit of the shuttle through the tank. The hydro-pneumatic subsystem does this by cyclically maintaining the required difference in water levels in the bi-level tank.

摘要: A first turboexpander generator is configured to decrease a temperature or pressure of a process stream flowing through the first turboexpander generator by generating electrical power from the process stream. A second turboexpander generator is configured to decrease a temperature or pressure of a process stream flowing through the second turboexpander generator by generating electrical power from the process stream. The second turboexpander generator is downstream of and receives a flow output from the first turboexpander generator. The first turboexpander generator and the second turboexpander generator each include the following features. An electric stator surrounds an electric rotor. An annulus defined by the electric rotor and the electric stator is configured to receive a process fluid flow. Magnetic bearings carry the rotor within the stator. A housing encloses the rotor and stator. The housing is hermetically sealed between an inlet and an outlet of each turboexpander generator.

摘要: A vertical axis wind turbine system for generating electricity. The whole turbine and the generator is structured around a single pole in the center. The pole holds the whole system together and supports the entire system. The System includes a turbine and a generator assembly. It consists of multiple folded L-shaped rectangle blades, which are structured around an empty cylinder whose purpose is to force air to go around it and into the blades for better efficiency. The empty cylinder is attached to the pole in the center of the system. The blades are attached to a bearing that spins around the pole on the top end and attached to the rotor on the bottom end of the empty cylinder. Each blade is folded at an angle to reduce the drag of the returning blades without compromising the surface area of the going blades.
