    摘要: Leaf nodes of a tree structure, also having a root node and intermediate nodes, communicate with endpoints via access networks and store mappings from permanent virtual IP (VIP) addresses for the endpoints to physical IP (PIP) addresses for the endpoints on the access networks. The root node and intermediate nodes store pointers for the endpoints' leaf nodes and associated access networks. When a connection setup request (CSR) for a destination endpoint is received from a corresponding node, the receiving leaf node passes the CSR up through the tree structure to a lowest common ancestor (LCA) node for the receiving leaf node and one or more destination leaf nodes associated with the destination endpoint. The LCA node uses its pointers to pass the CSR down towards the one or more destination leaf nodes, which use the corresponding VIP-to-PIP mappings to forward the CSR to the destination endpoint.

    摘要: Techniques are disclosed for scaling an IP address in overlay networks without using load balancers. In certain implementations, an overlay IP address can be attached to multiple compute instances via virtual network interface cards (VNICs) associated with the multiple compute instances. Traffic directed to the multi-attached IP address is distributed across the multiple compute instances. In some other implementations, ECMP techniques in overlay networks are used to scale an overlay IP address. In forwarding tables used for routing packets, the IP address being scaled is associated with multiple next hop paths to multiple network virtualization devices (NVDs) associated with the multiple compute instances. When a particular packet directed to the overlay IP address is to be routed, one of the multiple next hop paths is selected for routing the packet. This enables packets directed to the IP address to be distributed across the multiple compute instances.

    摘要: Disclosed is a system and a method for configuring an IP device to be discoverable to a client device over a local network having a DHCP server for assigning dynamic IP addresses. The method includes obtaining a dynamic IP address assigned to the IP device upon completion of boot process for the IP device; checking if a static IP address has been set for the IP device; determining if the dynamic IP address and the static IP address are in a same subnet of the local network; implementing the static IP address set for the IP device, if the dynamic IP address and the static IP address are in the same subnet of the local network; and implementing the dynamic IP address assigned to the IP device, if the dynamic IP address and the static IP address are not in the same subnet of the local network.

    摘要: Network address configuration in distributed node networks can be performed and managed. A network management component (NMC) can determine a group of hooks, and an order of respective hooks of the group in a network address management stack, that can be utilized to configure a network address on an interface associated with a group of nodes based on characteristics associated with a node or interface configuration system. NMC can execute the group of hooks in order at runtime to facilitate configuration of the network address on the interface. NMC can execute respective threads of a hook stack in parallel for respective network addresses. NMC can modify a hook(s) in a hook group in response to a change in characteristics associated with the node or interface configuration system. NMC can determine another group of hooks and hook order that can be executed to remove the network address from the interface.

The network access device may include a processor and a connection configuration component. The processor receives a connection request from the terminal device. The processor also authenticates the terminal device based on the connection request, and obtains a verified Internet protocol (IP) address from the connection configuration component. The processor further transmits the verified IP address to the terminal device after the terminal device is authenticated, wherein the terminal device is configured to be connected to the network by using the verified IP address.
