摘要: A computing node is configure to implement an intra-node network boot and installation protocol (protocol) for booting and installing an operating system (OS) on a virtual machine hosted on the computing node without communicating over a physical network. The protocol includes hosting a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server instance and/or a network boot server instance on a controller virtual machine of the computing node to emulate DHCP protocol and network boot server protocol communications. In some examples, the protocol further utilizes one or more virtual extensible local area networks (LANs)(VXLANs) and a virtual switch hosted at a hypervisor running on the computing node.

摘要: A wireless repeater device and a configuration method for the same are provided. The wireless repeater device is configured to: connect to a target network provided by a DHCP server; send a detection packet to the target network to confirm transmission modes supported by the DHCP server; confirm whether a request for dynamically obtaining an IP address from a client device is received; forward a request packet to the DHCP server, which instructs the DHCP server to respond in a first transmission mode; receive a response to the request from the DHCP server and forward it to the client device; confirm whether the request from the client device is still received, if so, modify the request packet and forward it to the DHCP server, and the request packet is modified to instruct the DHCP server to respond in a second transmission mode.

摘要: Methods and systems for automated ad hoc customer premise equipment (CPE) bi-directional vulnerability scanning. A method includes an auto provisioning server receiving CPE information for a designated CPE to initiate a bi-directional vulnerability scan, obtaining telemetry data from a cable modem termination system (CMTS) based on the CPE information, configuring switches to form a virtual local area network channel between a LAN scanner and the designated CPE using the CPE information, provisioning the LAN scanner to obtain a LAN side Internet Protocol (IP) address from the designated CPE, initiating vulnerability scans at a wide area network (WAN) scanner and the LAN scanner using a stored WAN side IP address and a stored LAN side IP address, respectively, and generating a vulnerability scan report based on results from the WAN scanner and the LAN scanner. At least one network device can be configured based on the report.

The method may further comprise: in response to detecting, from the virtualized computing instance, a service request for a service from the service node, generating a modified service request by modifying the service request to include the location information associated with the virtualized computing instance; and sending the modified service request towards the service node.

In one example, a method may include obtaining a request for an ATSSS-LL policy for a user equipment (UE) for establishing a multiple access protocol data unit session for the UE via a wireless wide area access network for an enterprise network; and providing to the UE one or more ATSSS-LL rules for the ATSSS-LL policy, an Internet Protocol (IP) address for the multiple access protocol data unit session for the UE, and an identifier for the multiple access protocol data unit session for the UE in which the IP address is utilized for a wireless local area access network connection for the UE established via a wireless local area access network of the enterprise network.

摘要: An address management method, system, and device to avoid a problem that a same Internet Protocol (IP) address is assigned to different packet data unit (PDU) sessions and to effectively use IP addresses in an address pool. The method includes: obtaining, by a session management network element, an identifier of a user plane function network element serving a terminal and session information of the terminal; determining, by the session management network element based on the identifier of the user plane function network element and the session information, an address pool identifier corresponding to the session; sending, by the session management network element, the address pool identifier to a server, where the address pool identifier is used to assign an IP address to the session; and receiving, by the session management network element from the server, the IP address corresponding to the session.

摘要: Techniques described herein register an endpoint device, such as a utility meter, with multiple headend systems. A system described herein includes a utility meter, which measures consumption of a resource, and a Network Management System (NMS) headend system, which manages a network. The utility meter joins the network and obtains an Internet Protocol (IP) address of the NMS headend system. The utility meter transmits a network registration request to the NMS headend system using the IP address of the NMS headend system and receives, from the NMS headend system, network-related settings of the network. The utility meter obtains an IP address of a second headend system configured to provide a service over the network. Further, the utility meter receives, from the second headend system, configuration settings for using the service of the second headend system and, as such, configures the radio with the network-related settings and the configuration settings.
