摘要: An electrically heatable layer stack is disclosed. The electrically heatable layer stack includes at least two substrate layers, and at least one carbon nanotubes-, CNT-, layer, which is arranged between the substrate layers and which is configured to conduct an electric current. The substrate layers and the at least one CNT-layer are configured to produce heating of at least one of the substrate layers when an electric current is applied to the at least one CNT-layer. A vehicle assembly group, an aircraft, a method and a system for manufacturing an electrically heatable layer stack are also disclosed.

摘要: An apparatus and method for electromagnetic heating of a hydrocarbon formation. The method involves providing electrical power to at least one electromagnetic wave generator for generating high frequency alternating current; using the electromagnetic wave generator to generate high frequency alternating current; using at least one pipe to define at least one of at least two transmission line conductors; coupling the transmission line conductors to the electromagnetic wave generator; and applying the high frequency alternating current to excite the transmission line conductors. The excitation of the transmission line conductors can propagate an electromagnetic wave within the hydrocarbon formation. In some embodiments, the method further comprises determining that a hydrocarbon formation between the transmission line conductors is at least substantially desiccated; and applying a radiofrequency electromagnetic current to excite the transmission line conductors. The radiofrequency electromagnetic current radiates to a hydrocarbon formation surrounding the transmission line conductors.

摘要: A radio frequency heating apparatus (100) having a cooking cavity (112) dividable into at least two sub-cavities (116, 118), a removable partition (114) for thermally insulating the at least two sub-cavities (116, 118), a rail (128) provided along a boundary of the cavity (112) for supporting the removable partition (114), and at least one radio frequency generator configured to transmit radio frequency radiation into at least one of the at least two sub-cavities (116, 118). The rail (128) is corrugated with a set of grooves or ridges (138), and a perimeter of the partition (114) is corrugated with a set of grooves or ridges (136) complementary to the grooves or ridges (138) of the rail (128).

摘要: An interrupting circuit is configured to monitor for and detect a fault in a device for generating a field of electromagnetic radiation (e-field) from a radio frequency (RF) generator configured to convert low voltage direct current (DC) into the e-field for application to an article in the e-field. If a fault is detected, the interrupting circuit interrupts low voltage DC between an energy reserve and the RF generator within a predetermined time less than the time to dissipate energy stored in the energy reserve.

摘要: A method for heating a hydrocarbon formation is disclosed. A radio frequency applicator is positioned to provide radiation within the hydrocarbon formation. A first signal sufficient to heat the hydrocarbon formation through electric current is applied to the applicator. A second or alternate frequency signal is then applied to the applicator that is sufficient to pass through the desiccated zone and heat the hydrocarbon formation through electric or magnetic fields. A method for efficiently creating electricity and steam for heating a hydrocarbon formation is also disclosed. An electric generator, steam generator, and a regenerator containing water are provided. The electric generator is run. The heat created from running the electric generator is fed into the regenerator causing the water to be preheated. The preheated water is then fed into the steam generator. The RF energy from power lines or from an on site electric generator and steam that is harvested from the generator or provided separately are supplied to a reservoir as a process to recover hydrocarbons.
