Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a storage system for storing products, such as wine bottles. The system can include a main panel that has protrusions and recesses that interlock with other recesses and protrusions in an adjacent main panel. By manufacturing the main panels in with these offset protrusions/recesses, a single panel can be molded to create an enclosed storage system, thereby increasing shipping efficiency while also maintaining structural integrity for the stored products.
Abstract:
A wound package construct (10) includes a first wound strip of package material that establishes an inner liner layer (2), a second wound strip of material that establishes an intermediate bodystock layer (4), and a third wound strip of material or cover strip (20) that covers a seam (8) formed by the wound bodystock layer (4) but that does not cover all of the outer surface area of the wound bodystock layer (4). Therefore, the width of the cover strip (20) is less than the width of the bodystock strip (4). As a result, the cover strip (20) is not wide enough to cover the entire outer surface of the wound bodystock layer (4) such that, after the cover strip (20) is wrapped to cover the spiral bodystock seam (8), areas of the bodystock layer (4) remain exposed between the two opposed length- wise edges of the cover strip (20).
Abstract:
A stir stick or spoon or made of plastic or wood temporarily attached by adhesive to an exterior surface of a cup made of plastic or of paper, so that, it is detachable under force of the hands and fingers and can be used to stir any contents of the cup. In certain embodiments the attached stir sticks/spoons/straws present any of indicia, bowl surfaces like as to spoons and/or features intentionally adapted to engage and interlock complimentary features on other stir sticks/spoons/straws as become detached from other cups so that, in combination, toy models and ornaments and other structures can be assembled from the stir sticks/spoons/straws after their primary use to stir, spoon or siphon the contents of the cup. The combination cups and attached stir sticks/spoons/straws can be (1 ) stacked and (2) located in an automatic vending machine so that they may be dispensed.
Abstract:
A refrigerated dough container (10) that has less than 5% non-paper material by weight such that the container qualifies as being a recyclable paper article. The container includes a paperboard body ply (12) and a liner ply (30) adhered to the inner surface of the body ply. The liner ply (30) consists of a paper layer (32) having an outer surface adhered to the inner surface of the container body, and at least one non-paper layer (36,38) imparting moisture/gas barrier and sealing characteristics to the liner. The total weight of the non-paper layer (s) does not exceed 5% of the combined body ply and liner ply weight. The non-paper layers can include a metallized film or thin foil as a barrier layer and a polyolefin or sealing varnish as a sealant layer. Alternatively, a single non-paper layer, namely a PVDC layer, can be extrusion-coated onto the paper layer.
Abstract:
A concealment apparatus for a product container (304, 802) comprises a closed cover piece (102) 5 that, when in use, overlies at least part of the product container (304, 802). The closed cover piece (102) conceals matter behind an exterior surface (122) of the closed cover piece (102). The closed cover piece (102) comprises an opening mechanism (114, 118, 124, 300) that is arranged to permit opening of the closed cover piece (102) in order to facilitate access to the matter.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The disposable cup (1) has a bottom insert (10), and a substantially truncated conical body (2) having an integral lid (4) and a cup opening. The lid is movable between a raised position and a closed position, possibly via a semi-closed position. The lid has a free edge (5), with a liquid passage opening (6) allowing liquid passage when the lid is in said closed position. The lid is foldably joined to the body along an arcuate first score line (7). The lid further has second score lines (8) arranged at respective ends (14) of the free edge, the second score lines connecting the free edge and the first score line so that, when the lid is pushed towards the cup opening, the lid flips into a position inside the cup opening, the movement of the lid being substantially aided by the folding of the lid along the second score lines. The lid has a larger cross-dimension than the cross-dimension of the body at the closed position of the lid, so that, when the lid portion is pushed further into the body, the lid is bent into a convex shape to seal liquid access along the inside of the cup, and the lid is partly held in the cup in the closed position by frictional forces between the lid and the inside of the cup, and partly by the second score lines causing outer portions of the lid to bend to a substantially vertical position, thereby increasing the force holding the lid in the closed position.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a formed package enclosing a stack of rigid products such as biscuits and associating in superimposition a paper or cardboard blank (1) and a film (2). The invention is characterised in that the blank (1) has a cut-out zone (16) defining a region for seizing the products and the film (2) has a strip (3) which is secured thereto and which covers at least partly said cut-out zone (16), the film (2) and the strip (3) forming an opening device for releasing the cut-out zone (16), the removal of successive products being operated by gravity in placing the package in an upright position.
Abstract:
A bottle featuring a tubular body portion (13) formed in one piece by a spiral wound tube manufacturing process. A shoulder portion (11, 15) is joined to a first end of the body and a base portion (14) is joined to a second, opposite, end of the body potion. The shoulder portion is comprised of an inner shoulder (15) and an outer shoulder (11) that provide mutual support for a neck (12) and to provide a structurally familiar beverage package shape such as a flask or bottle. The neck may comprise a frustum shaped end (26) that engages with a mating surface (23) of the inner shoulder (15).
Abstract:
A container (10) including a paperboard shell layer (20) and a paperboard core layer. The container has a predetermined removable portion (70) that provides for a separable cap portion (90). The body portion (50) of the container extends from the shell bottom edge to a lower line of limitation (60). The core layer (100) has a core rim (180) located at a rim distance (190) that is a function of position about the longitudinal axis (L) of the container.
