    Abstract: Various embodiments provide an imaging endoscope system and method for assembling an imaging endoscope system from a kit. The imaging endoscope system comprises a base unit, a hand controller, an umbilical section for releasably connecting the base unit and the hand controller, and an insertion section having a proximal end connected to the hand controller and a distal end for insertion into a subject. The base unit is configured for provision of electrical power and one or more fluids to the insertion section via the umbilical section and the hand controller. The umbilical section comprises an umbilical section connector configured to be releasably engageable with a corresponding base unit connector via a single connection action to make at least one mechanical connection, at least one electrical connection, and at least one fluid connection between the umbilical section connector and the base unit connector during said single connection action.

    Abstract: A reusable portion (2) includes a first connector (21) and a light emitting portion (22). A disposable portion (3) includes a support (31), a second connector (32) and a light detecting portion (33). The support (31) has a translucent portion and adapted to be attached on a body of a subject. The second connector (32) is supported by the support (31) and configured to couple with the first connector (21). The light detecting portion (33) is supported by the support (31) and configured to output a signal corresponding to an amount of light incident on the light detecting portion (33). Under a condition that the first connector (21) and the second connector (32) are coupled, the light emitting portion (22) is disposed so as to face the translucent portion, so that the first connector (21) is enabled to detect the signal via the second connector (32).

    Abstract: A female terminal position assurance (TPA) device provides essential secondary locks resulting in much higher retention forces in assuring that the terminals remain locked inside a female housing. The female TPA device also provides the needed detection if the terminals are not fully inserted or installed inside the female housing so that if such a detection is made, the secondary locks provided by the female TPA device do not occur. That is, once it is detected that the terminals have been fully inserted into the female housing and that the primary locks for the terminals inside the female housing have occurred, the female TPA device is able to be inserted into the female housing and thereby provide the secondary locks for the terminals for a much higher assurance that the terminals remain locked inside the female housing. The female TPA device further includes multiple locks with the female housing, while the female TPA device is in a pre-lock position or a full-lock position inside the female housing.

The block defines a port (430) therethrough that is spaced apart from the termination pad surface. The power cable is mechanically coupled and electrically connected to the termination pad surface of the block. The cooling tube extends into the port of the block, and is configured to absorb and dissipate heat from the block.
