Abstract:
The present invention relates to a container made from fiber based board wherein the container comprises a sleeve and a bottom, said bottom comprises polymer coated board, at least one side of said sleeve is uncoated and the sleeve is formed by sealing two edges of the sleeve together along a side seam. The invention further relates to a method for producing said container.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the production of a composition wherein the process comprises pre-treating cellulosic fibers by mechanical, chemical and/or enzymatic treatment, mixing the pre-treated cellulosic fibers with pigments forming a dispersion and dispersing the dispersion of pre-treated cellulosic fibers and pigments whereby a composition comprising microfibrillated cellulose is formed. The invention further relates to a composition produced according to the process.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition comprising microfibrillated cellulose, mono-, di- or oligo-saccharides and a pigment in order to achieve a composition with improved rheological properties such as a low viscosity even at high dry content. The present invention further relates to process for the production of said composition. The microfibrillated cellulose is produced by at least partly enzymatic treatment of cellulosic fibers such that even mono-, di- or oligo-saccharide is formed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the production of a paper or paperboard comprising at least two plies wherein microfibrillated cellulose is added to the surface of a first ply and the other ply is attached to the first ply so that the microfibrillated cellulose located in between the plies. The invention further relates to a paper or board produced according to the method.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the production of microfibrillated cellulose wherein the process comprises the steps of, providing a slurry comprising fibers, adding the slurry to an extruder, treating the slurry in the extruder so that the fibers are defibrillated and microfibrillated cellulose is formed. The invention further relates to a microfibrillated cellulose produced.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for treating cellulosic fibres which process comprises mechanically pre-treating the fibres followed by treating the fibres with an enzyme and thereafter mixing the fibres with a solution comprising an alkali metal hydroxide followed by mechanically treating the fibres to form microfibrillated cellulose. In this way it is possible to produce MFC in an improved and energy efficient way.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for producing microfibrillated cellulose which process comprises providing a slurry comprising cellulosic fibers, treating the slurry with an enzyme, mechanically treating the slurry so that the fibers are disintegrated wherein the mechanical treatment and the treatment with the enzyme is performed simultaneously in a single treatment step. In this way it is possible to produce MFC in an improved and energy efficient way. The invention further relates to microfibrillated cellulose produced according to the process.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of treating chemical pulp fibres by a polymerizing hydroxy acid, the fibres thus obtained and the products refined from them. In the method, the hydroxy acid reacts with the reactive groups of the fibres in the presence of a catalyst, forming ester bonds. The following units of the same hydroxy acid are oligomerized and/or polymerized to these grafted acid residues. The fibres thus treated and the products refined thereof endure better processinging stages that include drawing and stretching than untreated fibres.
Abstract:
The invention is related to the field of disposable plastic-coated board packages and containers. The invention describes a method of treating the surface of a disposable container by a treatment that locally heats the surface. The method can be used to make patterns or markings on the plastic surface of the plastic-coated board. The invention also discloses a disposable container, the surface of which is treated to increase the friction of the surface and to improve its insulation properties.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a cardboard-based shaped piece and to a mould used in the manufacture. The shaped pieced is formed from a cardboard-based blank A by compression moulding under injection moulding conditions, wherein a spot between its bottom and side wall is bent to form the shaped piece. For the moulding, a mould is used, which helps to decrease the friction between the cardboard blank and the mould. This decrease in friction is provided by first roughening and then coating the surfaces of the mould that come into contact with the cardboard blank.
