Also, pharmaceutical compositions of one or more aerosolized interferon(s) are provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition comprising a zeolite useful for treating multiple conditions. The zeolite is normally present in a weight percent of about 50-95%. Optionally, one or more other ingredients are present in the composition. Such supplemental ingredients may include one or more of calcium, vitamin B- 12, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B7, folate, pantothenic acid, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin K, iron, zinc, magnesium, potassium, boron, iodine, manganese, selenium, copper, chromium, omega 3 or omega 6 fatty acids. Calcium is normally present in a weight percent of about 3-50%. Vitamin B-12 may be present in a weight percent of about 1-5%. The zeolite is normally a clinoptilolite zeolite or a heulandite zeolite, and it is usually present in the composition as a powder having an average particle size of about 1 to 2000 microns, often about 500 microns. The compositions described herein are useful for preventing or treating a disease such as the hangover effect of alcohol, diarrhea, heartburn, gastrointestinal disease, toxic poisoning, influenza, and the common cold. The compositions are further useful for detoxifying an organism or a biological sample.
Abstract:
A wellbore fluid is disclosed. The wellbore fluid has a non-oleaginous internal phase and an oleaginous external phase. A reversible emulsifier stabilizes the invert emulsion by pH. One or more alkanolamines are also included in the wellbore fluid.
Abstract:
A wellbore fluid may include an aqueous base fluid, a plurality of latex particles and a coalescing agent present in the fluid in an amount effective to have an effect on decreasing the activation temperature of the latex. A method may include emplacing a wellbore fluid into a wellbore through an earthen formation, the wellbore fluid may include an aqueous base fluid, a plurality of latex particles and a coalescing agent present in the fluid in an amount effective to have an effect on decreasing the activation temperature of the latex.
Abstract:
A production chemical composition may include a polyether polyol; and one or more corrosion inhibitors and/or one or more scale inhibitors. A method may include injecting a composition of a polyether polyol; and one or more corrosion inhibitors and/or scale inhibitors into a production stream, which may be, for example, downhole or subsea. The polyol polyether may include, for example, ethylenedioxy(dimethanol).
Abstract:
Methods may include quantifying the concentration of residual free amine and/or free carboxylic acid in a product mixture prepared from a reaction of a multireactive species and a fatty reagent; verifying that the concentration for the free amine and/or free acid in the product mixture is within an acceptable threshold for a given application; and combining the product mixture with one or more wellbore fluid components to generate the wellbore fluid. In another aspect, methods may include including reacting the multireactive species and a fatty reactant to generate a product mixture; quantifying the concentration of residual free amine and/or free carboxylic acid in the product mixture; verifying that the concentration for the free amine and/or free acid in the product mixture is within an acceptable threshold for a given application; and collecting the product mixture.
Abstract:
A method for maintaining a constant bottom hole pressure during wellbore drilling operations, the method comprising supplying drilling fluid to the drill string via a top drive at a first pressure while flow of drilling fluid out of a wellbore annulus is restricted by a choke to hold pressure in a wellbore annulus and supplying drilling fluid to the drill string via the top drive at a second pressure lower than the first pressure and to a circulation coupler at a third pressure while flow of drilling fluid out of a wellbore annulus is restricted by a choke to hold pressure in the annulus, wherein the sum of the second and third pressures is approximately the same as the first pressure. The method also comprises supplying drilling fluid to the drill string via the circulation coupler at the third pressure while pumping drilling fluid into the wellbore annulus by a back pressure pump, wherein the bottom hole pressure at the bottom of the wellbore is maintained substantially constant during all steps of supplying drilling fluid to the drill string.
Abstract:
An iron roughneck for constant circulation of drilling mud during operation of a drill string, the iron roughneck comprising: a frame; a wrench unit supported by the frame, wherein the wrench unit is capable of gripping a drill string; a spinner unit supported by the frame, wherein the spinner unit is capable of engaging and spinning a drill pipe; and a circulation coupler supported by the frame, wherein the circulation coupler forms a chamber around the drill string.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a housing and at least two pipe ram systems engageable with the housing. Each of the at least two pipe ram systems comprises an actuator, a bonnet and a sealing pipe ram element. The at least two pipe ram systems are disposed on opposed sides of the housing. A carousel is disposed proximate at least one of the at least two pipe ram systems. The carousel has mounted thereon a plurality of pipe ram systems. The carousel is rotatable to orient a selected one of the plurality of pipe ram systems toward a receiving bore in the housing.
Abstract:
A measurement while drilling system for making drilling-related and/or geological formation measurements and communicating measurement data to the earth's surface includes at least one sensor on a drill string proximate a drill bit for measuring a parameter and a transmitter of parameter measurements on the drill string proximate the at least one sensor. The system also includes a transducer positioned in a diverter manifold so as to receive transmitted parameter measurements in drilling mud in fluid communication with both (i) at least one of a stand pipe, a rotary hose in fluid communication with a stand pipe, and a top drive in fluid communication with the stand pipe, and (ii) at least one of a floor pipe, a rotary hose in fluid communication with the floor pipe, and a circulation coupler in fluid communication with the floor pipe.
