4-benzoylisothiazoles have the general formula (1), in which the substituents have the following meanings: X stands for oxygen or sulphur; R stands for hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, optionally substituted alkoxycarbonyl, aryl, heterocyclyl or hetaryl; R stands for hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, cycloalkyl or cyclalkenyl, aryl, hetaryl or heterocyclyl; and R stands for a radical of general formulas (2a-d), in which n, A, B and the R , R and R substituents have the meanings given in claim 1. Also disclosed are the salts commonly used in agriculture of the 4-benzoylisothiazoles of general formula (1), a process for preparing the same and their use as herbicides.

The invention concerns hetaroyl derivatives of formula (I) in which the substituents have the following meanings: L, M are hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl, C2-C6 alkinyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, wherein these groups can optionally be substituted by between one and five halogen atoms or C1-C4 alkoxy; halogen, cyano, nitro; X is oxygen or sulphur which can be substituted by one or two oxygens; n is zero, one, two; and Q, R , R , R , R have the meanings given in claim 1. The invention further concerns a process for preparing the hetaroyl derivatives, agents containing the latter, and the use of these derivatives or agents containing them for weed control.

The disclosure relates to phenyl diketone derivatives of formula I in which the substituents have the following meanings: L, M - hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl, C2-C6 alkinyl, C1-C4 alkoxy (these groups being optionally substituted by one to five halogen atoms or C1-C4 alkoxy), halogen, cyano, nitro, a -(A)m-S(O)nR group or a -(A)m-CO-R group; Y - a group consisting of C=O, C=N-R , CR -NR R , CR -OR , CR R , CR -OR , hydrogen- or C1-C4-alkyl-substituted 1,3-dioxanyl or 1,3-dioxolanyl, a heteroatom selected from the group comprising oxygen, sulphur and nitrogen; X consists of a chain (-CR R -), (-CR R -CR R -), (-CR =CR -), (CR R -CR =CR -), or NR ; the bond between X and Y can be saturated or unsaturated; A - O, NR ; m is 0 or 1; n is 0, 1 or 2; R is cyclopropyl, 1-methylcyclopropyl; 1-méthylthiocyclopropyl or tert. butyl; when Y = C=O, X is different from NR . The invention concerns pyrazol-4-yl-benzoyl derivatives of formula (I) in which the substituents L, M, X, Y, and n have the meanings given in claim 1, and Q is a pyrazol ring which is bonded in position 4 and corresponds to formula (II), in which: R designates a C1 - C4 alkyl; R designates hydrogen, C1 - C4 alkyl or C1 - C4 alkyl halide; and R designates hydrogen, C1 - C4 alkylsulphonyl, phenylsulphonyl or alkylphenylsulphonyl; wherein if Y = C=O, X is not NR . The invention further concerns salts for agricultural purposes, a process for their preparation and their use as herbicides.

2-aroylcyclohexandiones have general formula (I), in which X, Y stand for O or S; Ar stands for phenyl or heteroaryl with 1 to 4 substituents; or two adjacent carbon atoms of the phenyl or heteroaryl ring may also be bridged by a chain; R , R , R , R stand for hydrogen or C1-C4-alkyl; R stands for H, C1-C4-alkyl or C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl; R , R stand for C1-C4-alkyl, benzyl or stand together for an optionally substituted ethylene or propylene chain. Also disclosed are the salts and esters of these compounds with acids, except for 2-(4-chloro-2-nitrobenzoyl)-5-dimethoxymethyl-5-methyl-cyclohexan-1,3-dione, and their use as herbicides and growth regulators.
