Abstract:
A sliding security screen assembly including a frame having an inner channel and an outer channel slidably retaining an inner sash and an outer sash respectively, each of said inner sash and said outer sash framing a security mesh, and said sliding security screen assembly further including at least one latch for maintaining the sashes in a closed condition wherein said outer sash includes an outward projection in the form of an overhanging lip (18) and said outer channel includes an outer wall terminating in a flange (15) wherein said flange (15) is slidably received between the outer sash and the overhanging lip (18) when the outer sash is in the closed condition and wherein said overhanging lip (18) includes a section substantially coplanar with the outer wall of the outer channel.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an improved lower member of a sliding window and door system, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a convenient, safe and high quality window and door system by solving problems of the conventional window and door system. To provide a flat structure of a railless window and door system of the present invention, a surface member is formed on a window (or door) frame lower member, and to provide a railless structure, a guide device is provided on the window (or door) frame lower member and the window (or door) lower member such that the window (or door) lower member is not inadvertently separated from the window (or door) frame lower member even when the roller is driven on the railless surface member as the window (or door) lower member is guided by the guide device.
Abstract:
A catch for sliding or hinged doors, windows, grilles of a swing opening member such as a door, window etc. having a catch for preventing unauthorised opening of the door etc. The catch has inter-engaging projections which are mounted on flexible shafts, if the sliding members are prised apart, the flexible shafts deform such that the projections keep engaged and prevent unauthorised opening of the sliding members.
Abstract:
A frame structure, which is adapted to be mounted between a horizontal lower balcony slab (1) and a horizontal upper balcony slab (2) located straight above the former, is arranged to support wall plates (9, 10) for at least partial building-in of the space between the balcony slabs (1, 2). The frame structure has a lower horizontal sectional element (12) arranged to be attached to the lower balcony slab (1), an upper horizontal sectional element (11) arranged to be attached to the upper balcony slab (2), an intermediate horizontal sectional element (13) and two vertical sectional elements (14, 15). The upper and the intermediate horizontal sectional elements (11 and 13) are arranged to support between themselves wall plates (10), such as glass plates, which are horizontally displaceable relative to each other. The vertical sectional elements (14, 15) consist of hollow sectional elements. The intermediate horizontal sectional element (13) has a longitudinal draining groove (21), which leads into the hollow sectional element (14, 15).
Abstract:
In a set of metal section bars (1; 74) for door and window frames with sliding panels the vertical section bars (1; 74, 68) of the fixed frame comprise a main casing (2; 71) provided on one side with wall hooking means (12, 13) and on the other side with a pair of end fins (6, 7) and with a pair of connecting fins (8, 69) in the proximity of one (6) of said end fins (6, 7) and destined to engage with an adjacent vertical section bar of the mobile frame of a sliding panel. In addition, a draught-protection fin (10, 70) extends from said other part of the main casing (2, 71) in a position that is substantially symmetrical with said one end fin (6) with respect to said pair of connecting fins (8, 69). The connecting fins (8, 69) have a base that is enlarged with respect to free extremities that engage with the vertical section bar of the mobile frame.
Abstract:
A single set of extruded profiles is used to construct either type of window. Each window has a main frame including a sill (22), a header (26) and a pair of jambs (24) which are constructed from a single hollow multi-chambered main frame extrusion (21). Each window (20, 90) also includes at least two sashes (28, 30, 98, 100) which are likewise framed by a single multi-chambered sash extrusion profile (31). Other features of the construction kit include snap in glazing profiles (40) which permit the rapid and economical glazing of window panes, snap in guide rails (62) for supporting weather stripping (66) and guiding window sashes (28, 30, 98, 100) to provide extra versatility in the placement of guide rails (62) and weather stripping (66). A unique system for weather stripping at the meeting rails (42) is also provided whereby a slot (80) for holding weather stripping (72) is provided on the rear surface of the meeting rails (42) so that the weather stripping (72) can be wrapped around the end of the meeting rail (42) and secured by frictional engagement between the rear surface of the rail (42) and the window sash (28, 30, 98, 100).
