Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a protection helmet (1) including a main outer shell (2) having a longitudinal symmetry plane (P), a head band (14) and a chin strap (12), characterised in that said helmet also includes a sub-shell (11) on which the main outer shell (2) is secured.
Abstract:
A crash helmet of a flush-recessed visor type having a tilting chin rest-visor front portion comprises a movable chin rest-visor assembly (2) , flush with the helmet cap (1) , and having, at end portions thereof, substantially circular sector elements (3) , which are firmly anchored to the helmet cap (1) , where the helmet cap (1) is in turn so contoured as to receive restraining, spreading, sliding and locking elements, adapted to be displaced along substantially circular path patterns, and the ideal rotary center (2a, 2ab, 2ac) of which are arranged inside the user ear covering region.
Abstract:
In another aspect the present invention consists in a protective helmet assembly having a protective shell (1) with a head cradle system as wearable head support therefor (2,7), the assembly being characterised in that said protective shell (1) as a Level 1 shell is enhanced by at least one additional shell (8,9) carried directly or indirectly thereby, and being further characterised in that each shell has at least one formation interchangeable with a complementary at least one formation of the other, the interengagement being a friction and/or interference fit formation to formation as one shell is next on the other thereby to hold the nested condition until the top most shell is uplifted from the low shell. Preferably there is such an interengagement over or near or over each ear of a user.
Abstract:
A system and a method for protecting the head of a user in case of an abnormal movement, such as a fall or a collision. The system comprises an apparel (1) , an airbag (2) , an inflator (3) , and a trigger. The airbag includes a first part (7) for surrounding the neck and back head portion of the user after inflation, and a second part (8) for forming a hood surrounding the skull of the user after inflation. The first part (7) and second part (8) are folded and arranged in the apparel (1) before inflation. The apparel is arranged around the neck of the user, like for example a collar or a scarf .
Abstract:
A protective helmet, particularly for sports and work use, comprising a rigid outer shell which itself comprises a front cap (2) having a concavity able to cover at least the upper part of the cranium, and a rear cap (3) having a concavity able to cover the rear part of the cranium. Said caps (2, 3) are mutually movable, the rear cap (3) being connected to the front cap (2) in such a manner as to rotate relative to this latter about an axis (A) transverse to the vertical plane of symmetry of the cranium, between a raised position and a lowered position.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a helmet comprising a mechanism to increase or decrease the internal volume thereof through the displacement of one or more portions of the protective material lining the helmet shell. The invention includes an adjustment mechanism mounted on or adjacent the shell of the helmet, from which project one or more connectors which are operationally connected to the movable portions of the protective material. When the adjustment mechanism is activated, for example clockwise or counterclockwise, the connectors are displaced, which causes the movable portions of the protective material to either be displaced away from the shell of the helmet or towards the shell of the helmet and thus allowing for a fine tuning of the fit of the helmet on a player's head.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A firefighter's helmet comprising an inner protective shell configured to be worn on its own as a helmet and an outer protective shell configured to be fitted over the inner shell and realisably retained thereon, comprising retaining mechanism for retaining the inner shell in the outer shell, wherein the retaining mechanism is moveable by a user whilst wearing the inner shell between a first position in which the retaining mechanism engages a said shell substantially to prevent relative movement between the two shells; and a second position in which the retaining mechanism permits relative movement of the shells whereby allowing the donning or doffing of the outer shell by the user.
