Abstract:
A disposable absorbent article of a brief or pull-up type incorporates a breathable laminate material composed of three layers. The laminate is an elastic material and may include non-elastic portions created by deactivating the material. The laminate material may be made breathable by the ultrasonic bonding process used to create the laminate. The absorbent article includes an absorbent assembly that overlaps with the non-elastic portions of the laminate.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, an array of packages may comprise two or more different sizes of disposable absorbent articles. The Product Length-to-Side Silhouette of a second absorbent article may be equal to or greater than a Product Length-to-Side Silhouette of a first absorbent article. And, an Array Average Product Length-to-Side Silhouette of first and second packages of the array may be from about 1.2 to about 1.6.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, an array of packages may comprise two or more different sizes of disposable absorbent articles. The Product Length-to-Hip Silhouette of a second absorbent article may be equal to or less than a Product Length-to-Hip Silhouette of a first absorbent article. And, an Array Average Product Length-to-Hip Silhouette of first and second packages of the array may be from about 0.9 to about 0.3.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for controlling the relative placement of advancing substrates and discrete components in diaper converting lines. The diapers may each include a chassis connected with front and back elastic belts. In controlling the relative placement of these elements during the assembly process, a controller may change the machine direction speed and/or position of certain elements and cross direction speed and/or position of other elements such as the advancing substrates and components in order to help achieve proper placement and orientation. During the assembly process, the registration features are detected, and a controller may change the machine direction speeds of the advancing elastic laminates and/or chassis and/or may change the cross directional and/or machine direction position of the advancing elastic laminates and/or chassis.
Abstract:
This absorbent article (1) has an absorbent body (10), a ventral strip member (30a), and a dorsal strip member (30b). Leg-surrounding elastic members (17) are arranged in the absorbent body (10) along the longitudinal direction and laterally outwards from an absorbent core (11). Dorsal strip elastic members (35b) that intersect with a part of the leg-surrounding elastic members (17) are arranged in the dorsal strip member (30b) along the lateral direction. Ventral strip elastic members (35a) that intersect with a part of the leg-surrounding elastic members (17) are arranged in the ventral strip member (30a) along the lateral direction. The length (Lb), in the longitudinal direction, of a region in which a stretched section of the leg-surrounding elastic members (17) intersects with the dorsal strip elastic members (35b), is longer than the length (La), in the longitudinal direction, of a region in which a stretched section of the leg-surrounding elastic members (17) intersects with the ventral strip elastic members (35a).
