摘要:
An absorbent has longitudinal and lateral centerlines, first, second, and target regions, the target region being disposed between the first second regions. Each of the first, second target regions extend laterally across the disposable absorbent article. The disposable absorbent article also has a topsheet; a backsheet; an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet; a fluid management layer disposed between the topsheet and absorbent core; and a target zone disposed in the target region. The target zone has a first plurality of conforming features in at least the absorbent core or a combination of the absorbent core and at least one of the topsheet or fluid management layer. The absorbent article also has a long fiber network.

A pulpless core is provided with flexibility for superabsorbent expansion by using elastic strands stretched and coupled to a nonwoven layer, and then relaxed partially to create receiving valleys (puckers) and the puckers are provided with superabsorbent polymer, and then a layer of nonwoven or acquisition film can be coupled on top of nonwoven /elastic/ sap carrier layers to create an absorbent core laminate, A tubular core can be created and placed into a product with or without additional absorbent material between adjacent tubular members. A printed back sheet corresponding to either the tubular core shape, or void spaces between tubular members can be provide. A forming drum pocket can be profiled to match tube or tube shaped zones and elastic placements between adjacent tubes, if desired.

Devices for providing thermal therapy to the perineal and rectal areas of a patient are described. The device is particularly useful for containing gushing lochia flow. Different embodiments of the device can be used to provide either hot or cold therapy to the patient. The inventive thermal pack of the current invention comprises a thermal pouch, pad and a backing layer.
摘要:
An absorbent article such as a diaper extending in a longitudinal direction parallel to a longitudinal axis (80') and a transversal direction (90') perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and comprising a distribution layer (54) between a topsheet (24) and an absorbent core (28). The distribution layer comprises a fibrous material and a first and second longitudinally-extending channels (86a,b) substantially free of fibrous material. The fibrous material is profiled in the transversal direction so that average basis weight between the channels differs from the average basis weight in the lateral areas outward of the channels by at least 50 g/m2 and/or wherein the distribution layer comprises a first region having a first basis weight (bw1) and a second region having a second basis weight (bw2), wherein the first basis weight and the second basis weight differ by at least 20 g/m2, preferably by at least 50 g/m2, and these regions are present in different areas of the distribution layer but in the same longitudinally extending transversal section. The absorbent core may comprise channel-forming areas (26a,b). The article further comprises a backsheet (25).

An absorbent article comprises a liquid permeable three-dimensional material, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the liquid impermeable backsheet and the three-dimensional material. The absorbent core comprises an absorbent material having one or more channels defined therein. The absorbent article may comprise other layers positioned at least partially intermediate the absorbent core and the liquid permeable three-dimensional material that also may comprise one or more channels. Any of the layers of the absorbent article may comprise indicia and/or color.

An absorbent article for personal hygiene is provided and comprises a longitudinal axis, a transversal axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, a liquid permeable topsheet an acquisition layer, a liquid impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core. The absorbent core is located between the topsheet and backsheet. The absorbent core comprises an absorbent material. A width of the acquisition layer in a direction parallel to the transversal axis is less than a width of the topsheet in a direction parallel to the transversal axis. The absorbent article comprises a topsheet/acquisition layer laminate comprising the liquid permeable topsheet and the acquisition layer in a face to face relationship, wherein the topsheet/acquisition layer laminate comprise three-dimensional protrusions extending from a plane of the topsheet/acquisition layer laminate. A Median Absorption Pressure (MAP) of the topsheet is equal to or larger than a Median Absorption Pressure of the acquisition layer, both according to the Capillary Sorption Test Method.

An absorbent structure (70) comprising a substantially planar substrate (16), an auxiliary glue (72) applied directly over the substrate (16) on an auxiliary glue application area (71), an absorbent material comprising from 80% to 100% by weight of superabsorbent particles deposited on the substrate on an absorbent material deposition area (73) comprising a pattern of absorbent material land areas (75) separated by absorbent material-free junction areas (76), wherein the absorbent material deposition area can be notionally divided in eight deposition zones (Z1-Z8) of equal length along the longitudinal direction. A fibrous thermoplastic adhesive layer (74) covers at least some of the land areas and at least some of the absorbent material-free junction areas to thereby immobilize at least some of the absorbent material on the substrate. The absorbent material is profiled along the longitudinal direction of the structure so that at least one of the eight deposition zones is a zone of lower absorbent material amount (Z1, Z2, Z7, Z8) and the auxiliary glue (71) is absent, or present at a level of at least 50% by weight lower than the average amount of auxiliary glue in at least one of these zones (Z1, Z2, Z7, Z8) of lower absorbent material amount. The absorbent structure can be made in an absorbent core for absorbent articles such as diapers.
