The present invention relates to a converter system, in particular a converter system for a wind turbine, and a wind turbine. A converter system is provided, the converter system comprising a filter device and a first converter having a first primary converter terminal and a first secondary converter terminal, and a second converter having a second primary converter terminal and a second secondary converter terminal. The filter device has at least a first primary filter terminal, a second primary filter terminal, a first secondary filter terminal connected to the first primary converter terminal and a second secondary filter terminal connected to the second primary converter terminal, wherein a first primary filter coil is arranged between the first primary filter terminal and the first secondary filter terminal. Further, a second primary filter coil is arranged between the second primary filter terminal and the second secondary filter terminal, the first primary filter coil and the second primary filter coil being wound around a common core.

Abstract:
The invention provides a wind turbine with a lightning arrester system including one or more lightning receptors (R) mounted on one or more rotor blades. A down conductor electrically connects one or more lightning receptors (R) to electrical ground via a sliding contact arrangement (SC), and an electromagnetic radiation (EM) reductiondevice encircles a portion of the down conductor so as to reduce EM radiation from the down conductor due to static electric discharges caused by imperfect electric contact in the sliding contact arrangement (SC). Known types of EM radiation reductiondevices in the form of commercially available common mode choke coils, cylindrically shaped nano- crystalline solid body types, or the like, can be used. A plurality of different types with different EM radiation reductionproperties can be used in combination. To obtain more effective EM radiation reduction, a plurality of EM radiation reduction devices can be used, e.g. positioned at several portions of the down conductor, especially close to sliding contact arrangements (SC).

A system for managing electrical consumption includes a connecting means for connection to an incoming power supply of a facility, for connection in parallel, including a hot line and a neutral line, and at least one ground. The following components are connected between the hot line and the neutral line. They are connected in the order of at least one front capacitor of predetermined capacitance, at least one front arc suppressor, at least one front metal oxide varistor line transient voltage surge suppressor having a predetermined number of joules capability to suppress undesired power spikes, at least two inductor/metal oxide varistor iterative transformers, at least a second capacitor of its own predetermined capacitance, at least one metal oxide varistor having a predetermined number of joules capability and at least two capacitors, each having its own predetermined capacitance different form one another.

A method and apparatus for multi-phase transformers (200) are described. In one embodiment, a coupled inductor topology for the multi-phase transformers comprising N primary inductors (210-240). In one embodiment, each primary inductor is coupled to one of N input nodes (201-1, 201-2, 201-3, 201-4) and a common output node (205). The transformer further includes N-1 secondary inductors (222-242) coupled in series between one input node (201-1) and the common output node (250). In one embodiment, the N-1 secondary inductors (222-242) are arranged to couple energy from N-1 of the primary inductors (220-240) to provide a common node voltage (250) as an average of N input node voltages (201-1, 201-2, 201-3, 201-4), wherein N is an integer greater than two. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Drossel, insbesondere zum Betrieb in einem Frequenzumrichtersystem (1) mit einer elektrischen Maschine (5) und einem Frequenzumrichter (2) zum Betrieb der elektrischen Maschine. Die Drossel (3) weist eine Drosselschale (18) auf, innerhalb welcher eine Wicklung (15) angeordnet ist, die an eine Versorgungsspannung (V1, V2) anlegbar ist. Ein Drosselkern (10) ist von der Wicklung (15) umgeben. Zumindest Teile der Drosselschale (18) und/oder des Drosselkerns (10) weisen ein Material (14) aus Pulververbundwerkstoff auf. Weiterhin weisen zumindest Teile der Drosselschale (18) und/oder des Drosselkerns (10) einen ferromagnetischen Werkstoff (11) auf, der derart beschaffen ist, dass die Induktivität der Drossel (3) abhängig von einer Frequenz der Versorgungsspannung (V1, V2) veränderlich ist. Mit der Erfindung kann ein einfacher Aufbau einer Drossel realisiert werden, deren effektive Induktivität im hohen Frequenzbereich veränderbar ist. Dadurch können sich Amplituden von Eigenschwingungen des Frequenzumrichtersystems nicht mehr so stark ausbilden.
