A connector assembly (100) for mating with a conductive plate (104, 118), wherein the plate formed with a plate mounting edge and first and second surfaces extending from the plate mounting edge, includes an alignment housing (120) for mounting to the plate at the plate mounting edge. The alignment housing defines a receiving chamber (126) therein. The connector assembly also includes a plug housing (122) having a contact (124) held therein. The plug housing is received within the receiving chamber such that the contact slidably engages the first surface and the second surface of the plate.

An electrical connector (10) is provided for mounting to an electrically conductive member (24) comprising a housing (12) having a mating end (30) and a conductor exiting end, the mating end configured for coupling a mating connector (14) characterized by; the housing (12) comprising an electrically conductive flange (46) disposed between the mating end (30) and the conductor exiting end, wherein the housing (12) extends through an opening (86) formed in the electrically conductive member (24) and wherein the flange (46) is detachably securable to a surface (26) of the electrically conductive member (24) for maintaining electrical communication between the member and the housing (12).

A connector assembly (100) includes a housing having a cavity (108) defined by at least one wall (170). The cavity extends between a mating end and a loading end. The housing has a terminal latch (190) associated with the cavity, and the at least one wall has a projection (180) extending into the cavity. A terminal (104) is loaded into the cavity (108) through the loading end and is held within the cavity by the terminal latch (190). The terminal (104) includes body having an opening (158), wherein the projection (180) extends at least partially into the opening (158) to secure the terminal (104) within the cavity (108).

A connector (10) for use in an electrical connector assembly. The connector (10) includes an electrically conductive body (12) having a first mating end (24) and a second mating end (86). The first mating end is configured for coupling an electrical connector. The second mating end is configured for coupling an electrical board assembly. An electrically conductive flange (62) extends from the body in electrical communication with the body. The flange extends through an opening (72) formed in an electrically conductive member and is detachably securable to the electrically conductive member (12) for maintaining electrical communication between the member and the body.
