Abstract:
Selector device for bipolar RRAM is disclosed. This invention relates to high density volatile and nonvolatile memories, and more particularly to selection devices in bipolar resistive random access memory. The present day technology uses positive and negative field on memory device to change resistance states. Various metal oxides used in bipolar RRAM operations display symmetric as well as asymmetric operation. However, there is no selection device which works close to symmetric or even some asymmetric operation. A memory element is proposed for providing high density volatile/non-volatile memory storage which comprises of memory element and bipolar vertical selector device. Further, the selector device is based on punch-through mechanism concept.
Abstract:
The present invention proposes a system and method for mapping the heat flux incident on a surface of the receiver of a solar concentrator. The flux mapping system disclosed analyses temperature profile indicated by high accuracy thermocouples to map the flux. The system uses the temperature profile along a metal strip to determine the heat flux. This method and system can be used for flux mapping of point focus and line focus concentrating solar collectors. The flux mapping system proposed in the present invention is easy to handle, easy to manufacture and has simple calibration techniques. The present invention is robust, cheaper and requires very low maintenance.
Abstract:
A gravity-fed storage water purifier is provided. The gravity-fed water purifier includes a filtration unit for receiving water. The filtration unit includes a housing unit, a first membrane cloth layer, a second membrane cloth layer, and a granular biocidal composition layer disposed between the first and second membrane cloth layers. The first and second membrane cloth layers remove dirt, sand and sediments from the contaminated water, using a depth filtration mechanism. The granular biocidal composition layer removes bacteria and virus from the contaminated water, through fast leaching of silver ions into the water. A single storage container is provided that collects the water filtered by the virtue of filtration unit and gravity. An adsorbent composition is disposed between the storage container and an outlet tap of the storage container.
Abstract:
A method of detection of bad pixel in sensor array and correction of detected bad pixels by inpainting and also to image sensor devices involving such sensor arrays adapted for identification and correction of the bad pixels. Importantly, image sensors which are provided to convert optical images to electrical signals would benefit from such possible detection and correction of pixel errors thereby providing for better quality of output. The method and the device enables providing for better quality cameras in particular digital cameras involving CCD image sensors or CMOS sensors. It monitors the health of the sensor arrays and increase its life, without involving any additional hardware cost. The invention targets all possible varieties of defective pixels including dead pixels, stuck pixels, hot and cold pixels and therefore is adapted to serve as a complete solution to such art of handling image corruption even for high numbers of bad pixels.
Abstract:
Described herein are methods and compositions for preparing an adsorbent composition for sustained silver ion release is provided. The method comprises impregnating silver nanoparticles on an organic-templated-nanometal oxyhydroxide. Particle size of the silver nanoparticles is less than about 50 nm. The adsorbent composition is antimicrobial in water. In an aspect, the organic- templated-nanometal oxyhydroxide is organic-templated-boehmite nanoarchitecture (OTBN). The resultant adsorbent composition is used as a water filter in a water purification device.

The present invention relates to a method and system for translating a source language into a target language comprising the steps of: - identifying the nature of text extracted from a source document, - filtering and storing the text formatting and structure information of the extracted text, - selecting an appropriate text translation engine based on the nature of the extracted text, - using the text translation engine for analysing and translating the extracted text into an unformatted translated text, and - using the stored text formatting and structure information to process the unformatted text for obtaining a structured translated text document in the target language.
Abstract:
A method for modularization of ship hull for its production involving, a system of databases , dividing the ship length into three distinct zones comprising a) aft body extending from aft till forward of engine room forward bulk head, b) fore body extending from fore end of the ship till aft of fore peak bulk head and c) mid body consisting of the middle portion between the aft body and fore body; identifying the functional requirements of the defined zones, ascertaining the constructional parameters for the said three zones based on the available input database and the functional requirements of the three zones ; generating the modular design; and merging the zones into a single continuous three dimensionally faired body to thereby obtain the modular ship. The above method of modularization would favour cost-effective, fast and user specific production of various forms of ship hull.
