Abstract:
In a process for producing a lower aliphatic carboxylic acid ester by esterifying a lower aliphatic carboxylic acid and a lower olefin into a lower aliphatic carboxylic acid ester using an acid catalyst in a vapor phase, when the system is controlled to contain substantially no acetylene compounds, the deterioration of the catalyst can be remarkably prevented from proceeding and in turn a stable operation can be continuously performed for a long time.Examples of the acid catalyst which can be used in the present invention include compounds widely known in general as an acid catalyst, such as a heteropolyacid and a salt thereof.
Abstract:
An resin composition comprising an oligo(meth)acrylate having one or more (meth)acryloyl groups within one molecule, an allyl monomer of a saturated and/or unsaturated polybasic acid, and an acetoacetamide compound. The problem of reduction in curability at an ordinary temperature can be solved in a radical curable resin composition comprising an oligo(meth)acrylate diluted with an allyl monomer.

A titanium dioxide characterized by having an average particle size of 5 to 200 (m as measured through laser particle size analysis; having a purity of at least 99.5 mass% as reduced to TiO2; and having an Fe content of 20 mass ppm or less, an Ni content of 20 mass ppm or less, a Cr content of 20 mass ppm or less, an Al content of 20 mass ppm or less, a Zr content of 20 mass ppm or less, an Si content of 40 mass ppm or less, a Cl content of 0.05 mass% or less, and an S content of 50 mass ppm or less. The titanium dioxide is produced by a process comprising bringing titanium dioxide serving as a raw material into a high-temperature flame formed by use of a combustible gas and a combustion-supporting gas, to thereby yield spherical titanium dioxide, characterized in that said raw material titanium dioxide has been produced through a vapor-phase process in which titanium tetrachloride is oxidized with an oxidative gas at high temperature.

There is provided a composition for improving the disease resistance and growth of plants, comprising (A) a chitosan having a molecular weight of 3,000 to 60,000, (B) a chitosan having a molecular weight of 35,000 to 90,000 (provided that the molecular weight of chitosan (A) and the molecular weight of chitosan (B) are different) and (C) a lactic acid and/or a succinic acid. By using the composition of the present invention wherein two kinds of chitosans having different molecular weights, an effect of enhancing stable and high disease resistance and improving growth can be exerted on plants.
