Abstract:
Cleaning device having an endless filtering belt (31) guided through a waste water container (33) for filtering of waste water. The filtering belt is guided over a series turn rollers (32, 34, 36, 37) so that the belt in a certain region runs substantially horizontally with the filtrate faced downwards. Within this region there is a rod shaped blowoff device (43) for blowing air towards the filtering belt. Below the blowoff device (44) there is arranged a screw conveyor (42) for removing residues dislodged from the filter mesh. The filtering belt (31) is located adjacent to a transmission belt (51) and is pressed against the same by a clamping rail (58) within the rising section (38) of the filtering belt. The device is provided with a control device (4) adapting the filtering belt movement with the waste water supply, thus keeping the waste water surface below a certain level to provide a high degree of dewatering within the upwards rising section of the filtering belt (31). The blowoff device (43) is shaped to produce a knife shaped air beam directed towards the filtering belt from a sufficiently short distance to effect substantially full penetration through the openings of the filtering belt. The lateral edges of the filtering belt are covered by a tight cover band (66) pressed downwards by a soft elastic pressure lip (64).
Abstract:
A treatment process for recovering protein, fatty and water component products from a float material produced by a waste water treatment system, wherein the protein and fatty components possess improved stability and are suitable for further processing for inclusion in various products, such as animal feed. The recovered water component can also be further processed before discharge into a sewer system.

Abstract:
The invention concerns a drum washer. The washer has two plates (14; 18) located after each other in parallel with the drum, and the pulp to be washed is conducted between these plates. Between the plates there is a gap (22) closed by a flap valve (25) by way of which gap washing liquid is conducted through the mat. The washer is especially suitable for washing cellulose pulp.
Abstract:
A spin filter apparatus for cleaning an influent stream is provided and includes a housing having at least one inlet port for receiving the influent stream, at least one waste port for discharging waste and at least one output port for discharging a processed clean effluent stream. The apparatus also includes a discharge conduit coupled to the at least one outlet port for discharging the processed clean effluent stream; and a spin filter assembly disposed within the housing and including a filter screen set formed of at least two screen filters that are rotatable about the discharge conduit and freely movable in a vertical direction along the discharge conduit. The screen set is coupled to a magnetic shaft that permits the screen set to be a free floating structure that is movable in the vertical direction due to a magnetic field generated between the magnetic shaft and a first magnetic element disposed in the housing that permits the screen set to be controllably and selectively moved in the vertical direction as the screen set rotates, thereby providing two independent cleaning actions.
Abstract:

A screen assembly for use in a vertical orientation in a vibratory separator, the screen assembly (60;120) comprising two sides of screening material (61;60A;132) spaced to form a central hollow (101a). A screen assembly comprising a support (18;16;32;151) for supporting at least one layer of mesh (14;16a;31;212) arranged thereon, wherein said support has first portion (12;33;151) which is generally flat lying in a first plane and a second portion (16;18;34a;154) in a second plane characterised in that, said first plane is substantially horizontal and said second portion (16;18;34a;154) rises in said second plane at an angle of at least 45° to a height of at least five centimetres
Abstract:
A fiber suspension thickener, particularly adapted for thickening cellulose fiber. The thickener comprises a vat (103); a hollow filter assembly in the form of a horizontal cylindrical drum (101) disposed within the vat (103), whereby the drum (101) may be rotated by a motor (152) around its horizontal axis (151), and whereby the circumferential walls of the drum (101) are made of a filter material (102); either a spray nozzle (106a) or some other supply conduit (106b) that furnishes a fibre suspension into the interior of the vat (103), so that the drum (101) becomes submerged within a pool (161) of the fiber suspension; a discharge outlet (110) for discharging the fiber suspension on the ascending side (102c) of the rotating drum (101); and a turbulence creating device (260) that can take many forms, e.g. projections (260a-d) or indentations on a weir (260g) positioned along the interior wall (103a) of the vat (103), a stationary member like a rod (260e) or a rotating screw mechanism (260f) attached to the end walls (103b) of the vat (103), for creating turbulence and mixing the fiber suspension on the ascending side of the rotating drum (101). The turbulence creating device (260) prevents coarse fibers within the fiber suspension from caking or matting on the exterior of the filter material (102) of the drum (101), and improves the overall thickening capability.
Abstract:
