Methods and systems for filtration are disclosed. A feed mixture including at least one liquid component and at least one solid component and a flow of gas may be directed to a filter element and filtrate and gas may be passed through a filter medium from a feed fluid side to a filtrate side. The gas loosens and removes foulants accumulating within and on the upstream surface of the filter medium. The gas and filtrate may be separated from one another after passing through the filter medium.

The object of the invention is a liquid extraction filter, more particularly a continuous-action, top-feed, vacuum drum filter. What is essential in the invention is that the filter comprises a drum structure (1 ) and filter elements (2), the filtration surface of which filter elements is formed of microporous hydrophilic material such that when filtering with a partial vacuum it is impervious to the surrounding air.

A spin filter apparatus for cleaning an influent stream is provided and includes a housing having at least one inlet port for receiving the influent stream, at least one waste port for discharging waste and at least one output port for discharging a processed clean effluent stream. The apparatus also includes a discharge conduit coupled to the at least one outlet port for discharging the processed clean effluent stream; and a spin filter assembly disposed within the housing and including a filter screen set formed of at least two screen filters that are rotatable about the discharge conduit and freely movable in a vertical direction along the discharge conduit. The screen set is coupled to a magnetic shaft that permits the screen set to be a free floating structure that is movable in the vertical direction due to a magnetic field generated between the magnetic shaft and a first magnetic element disposed in the housing that permits the screen set to be controllably and selectively moved in the vertical direction as the screen set rotates, thereby providing two independent cleaning actions.

본 발명은 유수 분리 장치에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 기름성분과 고형분순물이 포함된 유수 혼합물의 흐름을 간헐적으로 정체시킴으로써 수분이 친수성 필터를 충분히 통과될 수 있는 적절한 시간이 확보되면서도 친수성 필터의 막힘 현상을 최소화시킬 수 있는 유수 분리 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 유수 분리 장치는, 기름 성분이 혼합된 유수 혼합물에서 기름성분과 물을 분리하여 배출하기 위한 유수 분리 장치에 있어서, 적어도 2개 이상의 여과부가 순차적으로 배치되고, 각 여과부에는 친수발유성 또는 친유성을 갖는 필터가 구비되며, 이웃하는 여과부 사이는 유수 혼합물이 일측 여과부에서 타측 여과부로 흐르기 위한 통로가 구비되며, 최초에 배치된 여과부에는 그 내부로 유수 혼합물이 유입되도록 유입부가 연결되고, 최후에 배치된 여과부에는 필터에 걸러진 수분 또는 유분이 배출되는 배출부가 연결된 여과수단과, 이웃하는 여과부 사이를 연결하는 통로를 간헐적으로 개폐하는 개폐수단이 구비된 것을 특징으로 한다.

A method of vacuum filtration comprises guiding (100) a slurry comprising raw water and/or process water to a filter apparatus (2) comprising at least one filter member (3) comprising a ceramic material or a composition comprising a ceramic material and at least one filtrate channel (7), wherein the slurry is guided to the opposite side of the filter member relative to the filtrate channel; generating (110) suction within the filtrate channel, such that a cake (5) is formed on the opposite side of the filter member; and deliquoring and discharging (120) the cake. The raw water and/or process water used in the filtration process comprises at least 2 ppm fluorine and the ceramic material of the filter member (3) comprises at least 90 percent of mullite.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a separator including one or more separation members upon which residue can accumulate. An agitator is provided for agitating the separation members to remove the residue. The agitator may clean residue from the members without removing the separation members from the separator. Advantageously, the frequency that the members need to be removed from the separator and thoroughly cleaned is reduced when compared with the known separator.

Die Filtervorrichtung weist einen in einem Gehäuse rotierbar angeordneten Filterplattenstapel (1) auf, der aus hohlen Filterplatten (2) gebildet ist und bei dem die gefilterte Flüssigkeit nach Durchströmen der Filterplatten (2) zentral abgeführt wird. Die Zufuhr der ungefilterten Flüssigkeit erfolgt ebenfalls zentral und zwar durch zentrumsnahe Durchbrechungen (15), die so angeordnet und ausgebildet sind, dass die Filterplatten eine Kreiselpumpwirkung erzeugen.
