Abstract:
Closure for a container comprising a cover (3) attached to a skirt (4) by a line of weakness so that the skirt remains on the container after opening. The skirt is retained on the container, to prevent removal and refilling with counterfoil material, by an annulus (10) (preferably a shape memory alloy) which has been shrunk onto the skirt, preferably forcing it into a waisted region of the container. The annulus is preferably stronger than the container so that it can be removed only by breaking the container.
Abstract:
A closure cap made of deep-drawable material, in particular aluminium, is characterized in having reinforcing beads (6) incorporated in the wall (3) of the closure cap (1). Said beads are arranged at a distance apart along a spiral and form the screw of the closure cap (1). As a result of the continuous strip-shaped regions (7) between the reinforcing beads, the closure cap possesses very high stability, which precludes the possibility of a blow off, i.e., the closure cap will not pop out in the event of overpressure in the container.
Abstract:
A sealing assembly for a closure is disclosed where the closure is for applying to an opening. The sealing assembly includes a substantially rigid cap portion for seating the sealing assembly in a roof portion of the closure and an insert portion attachable to the cap portion. The insert portion includes a flexible skirt portion extending from the insert portion and operable to contact an inner wall region of the opening on application of the closure to the opening. In one embodiment, the sealing assembly is for closures for sealing bottles of sparkling wine and the like.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a closure (1), preferably for containers (100) which have a standard threaded neck (101), which comprises a metal cap (2) to prevent liquid from escaping from the container (100), a metal sleeve (3) and a polymer ring (4) which are coaxial relative to the latter, wherein the polymer ring (4) comprises a first portion (41) which has a diameter D1 and a second portion which has a diameter D2
Abstract:
Abstract:
Closure for a bottle comprising an inner cap of plastics material having an end wall (9) and a tubular skirt (10) which is provided with an internal thread (12) which engages a corresponding thread (5) provided on the neck of the bottle; an outer cap (14) of sheet metal which covers the said inner cap and which is fixed to the neck of the bottle by fixing means (22), wherein at least one circular weakening line (19) is provided in the said sheet metal outer cap (14); the said outer cap (14) has a tubular shape and is provided with an annular enlargement (24) forming an inner annular channel (25) delimited by corresponding axial end stops (26, 27); said channel (25) faces the tubular skirt (10) of the inner cap which is provided with an annular thickening (28) extending radially and axially, wherein the said thickening (28) is delimited by corresponding axial end stops (29, 30) and is force-fitted into the said channel (25).
Abstract:
A cap, comprising a cap body (4) having a top board part (2) and a cylindrical part (3) hanging from the peripheral edge of the top board part and a liner (5) installed on the inner surface of the top board part, characterized in that the outside diameter of the liner is 34.9 to 37 mm, the length of the liner in contact with the outer surface of the opening end part of a container mouth part is 1.0 mm or shorter, or the length of the liner from a position where the liner comes into contact with the container mouth part to a position where the liner does not come in contact with the peripheral edge side container mouth part is 1.0 mm or shorter.
Abstract:
An in-bore non-refilling device for a bottle of fine spirits has a valve member (16) in the form of a regular dumbbell, with conical ends (62) arranged back-to-back and joined by a central shaft (63) at their apices. The housing (12) of the device has its bottom end closed by an annular bucket (14) which is snap-engaged into position, and each of the conical ends of the valve member has a toroidal free edge which is capable of making sealing engagement with a complementary surface (22) formed around the bucket aperture.
