Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention provides a tubing material (20) suitable for constructing a double-walled dead shaft idler (22, 24) which are rigidly interconnected by a plurality of radially disposed spokes (26). The idler so constructed is lighter weight than standard idlers. It permits bearings (56a, 56b) to be mounted at a distance recessed from the ends of the idler, thereby reducing deflection or bending of the idler. The tubing also includes built-in balancing lugs (32).
Abstract:
A roll that can be bent for a web-like material, which roll comprises a continuous tubular roll mantle (11) of a composite material as well as axle journals (12) connected to each end of the roll mantle (11). The axle journals (12) are attached by means of at least one support point to a fastening flange construction (18, 19) attached to the frame (R) of the machine. The roll additionally comprises a bending mechanism (30), by whose means the axle journals (12) and thereby the roll mantle (11) are bent into an arc form, and a regulation device (40) by whose means the angular position of the roll arc can be regulated.
Abstract:
A device is disclosed for combining and processing at least two paper or film webs. It comprises pay-out units (1a, 1b, 1c) in each of which a paper web (3a, 3b, 3c) with regularly spaced markings is drawn off from a roll (2a, 2b, 2c) by means of withdrawal rolls (7a, 8a, 7b, 8b, 7c, 8c). The paper web is led as appropriate over deflection rollers (13a, 13b, 13c), combined with at least one other web (3a, 3b, 3c) and drawn into a processing line (11). In the processing line (11) the at least two paper webs (3a, 3b, 3c) pass through processing units, which may be independent from each other, and are drawn into a unit (15) for further processing. Means are provided for the congruent longitudinal register control of the paper webs (3a, 3b, 3c), comprising means for creating a tension across the web width which is substantially the same in each of the at least two paper webs (3a, 3b, 3c); feelers (18, 17a, 17b, 17c) for registering the sequence of markings on each paper web (3a, 3b, 3c); and a control unit (19) which actuates a drive or braking device. The means for creating tension in the paper are drawing rolls such as rubber rolls (14a, 14b), situated after the processing line (11) and preferably immediately prior to the unit (15) for further processing.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a roller (100) for use in the processing of a continuous strip (B) of paper, textile fabric, sheet plastic, sheet metal or similar material. It includes a hollow roller (2) made of fibre-reinforced plastic and a cross-beam (1) which passes through the whole length of the hollow roller (2) and is mounted at its ends (1', 1') on external mountings so that it cannot rotate. Fitted on the cross-beam (1) are hydrostatic support elements (10) which can be pressed, on the pressure-application side, by means of hydraulic fluid, against the inside surface (8) of the hollow roller (1). The length of the support elements (10) in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the hollow roller (2) is not greater than 20 cm, they are disposed closely one beside the other along the cross-beam (1) and they can each be controlled independently.
Abstract:
A device for winding a web of plastic film (10) comprises a winding roller (6) on which the roll (11) is formed and a pressure roller (8). The pressure roller (8) takes the form of an adjustable sag roller with a non-rotary transverse head and a hollow roller rotating about it which is supported on the transverse head via a pneumatically driven supporting device and has a mass of lower than 1kg/cm roller length, i.e. consisting of fibre-reinforced plastic.
