In a ring spinning mill, there is a plurality of winding machines arranged in a side by side relationship. Each winding machine has a first conveyer. A second conveyer passes through the vicinity downstream ends of the first conveyers. The mill includes a plurality of transferring apparatus. Each delivering device transfers the yarn packages from each first conveyer to the second conveyer. Each transferring apparatus includes a prop extending vertically, a lift, and a tray. The lift moves between a lowest position and a highest position and is rotated about a vertical axis while moving upwardly. The elongated tray has two opposing ends and two opposing sides. The tray is capable of retaining a plurality of the yarn packages. The tray is coupled to the lift. The tray is oriented to be aligned with the first conveyer so as to receive the yarn packages from the first conveyer when the lift positioned at the lowest position. The tray is rotated to be parallel to the second conveyer so as to transfer the yarn packages to the second conveyer when the lift is positioned at the highest position.

The invention relates to a method for changing the winding-off direction of reels (W,W1) which are delivered in succession by a delivery station (1) in order to form a reel group (WG) in which the front faces of adjacent reels (W) are equally spaced (a) and the longitudinal axes (LA) of the reels (W) are in a line. In practise, it is sometimes necessary to arrange the preparation machine for producing a reel (W) in such a way in relation to the combing machine group being used that the reels that are delivered by the preparation machine have a different winding-off direction in the ejected winding-off direction to that necessary for the subsequent combing machine. It is therefore necessary to rotate the reels (e.g., 90 DEG or 180 DEG ) whilst preserving the division of the reel group. To this end, the reels (W) that are delivered by the delivery station (1) (W) are gradually shifted crosswise to their direction of delivery by a receiving element (41, 42) of a rotating device (30), by which means they come to lie in a plane in which the longitudinal axis (LA) of the reel (W) lies, are rotated and can then be moved out of the area of the receiving element (42) in the direction of its longitudinal axis (LA).

A package transport system (1) is provided for transferring yarn packages from a textile machine (2) to a transport conveyor (4). Textile machine (2), which is either an open end spinning machine or a winding machine, has conveyor belts (14, 16) for transporting yarn packages from rows of spinning stations or winders to chutes (18, 20), after which they fall by gravity onto transport conveyor (4). A delay mechanism comprising controller (C); sensors (100, 102) connected to controller (C); and switches (110, 115), also connected to controller (C), prevents yarn packages delivered via chutes (18, 20) from colliding. If textile machine (2) is a winding machine, yarn packages traveling from winders to chutes (18, 20) have a sharply angled narrow portion on one side, making them easily susceptible to unwinding and tangling if the angled side is the first to enter chutes (18, 20). In this scenario, a reorienting mechanism can be employed to rotate the yarn packages 180 DEG prior to their entrance into chutes (18, 20).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Aufnehmen und Abtransportieren von gewickelten Spulen (7). Die Spulen (7) werden durch mehrere Aufspulmaschinen (1) erzeugt, die entlang einer Maschinenlängsseite angeordnet sind. Zur Aufnahme der Spulen (7) sind den Aufspulmaschinen (1) mehrere horizontal ausgerichtete Aufnahmedorne (12) zugeordnet, die durch ein Transportsystem (13) den Aufspulmaschinen (1) zuführbar sind und die ein freies Ende zum Aufstecken der Spulen (7) aufweisen. Um einen kollisionsfreien Abtransport der Spulen (7) in kompakter Art und Weise zu realisieren, weist das Transportsystem (13) eine parallel zu der Maschinenlängsseite angeordnete Dofferwand (9) mit zumindest einer Führungsbahn (10.1, 10.2) auf, in welcher mehrere mit Abstand zueinander bewegliche Dornhalter (11) führbar und positionierbar sind, wobei die Aufnahmedorne (12) durch jeweils einen der Dornhalter (11) auskragend gehalten sind.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Spulenwechselvorrichtung (1) zum Zuführen und/oder Entnehmen von Spulen zu bzw. von einer Verarbeitungseinrichtung (40), welche ein strangförmiges Material auf eine Spule aufwickeln und/oder von einer Spule abwickeln kann, wobei die Spulenwechselvorrichtung (1) wenigstens eine Fördereinrichtung (30), welche beispielsweise zwei Förderbänder (31, 32) aufweist, und eine Schwenkgabel (10) aufweist. Auf der Schwenkgabel (10) ist wenigstens ein Spulenaufnahmeplatz (21, 22) gebildet, auf welchen eine Spule gestellt werden kann. Durch Anheben, Absenken und/oder Verschwenken der Schwenkgabel (10) in einer bestimmten Abfolge und Wiederholung können Spulen der Verarbeitungseinrichtung (40) und der Fördereinrichtung (30) zugeführt und/oder diesen entnommen und auf diese Weise ein Spulenwechsel durchgeführt werden. Die Fördereinrichtung (30) und der Bewegungsraum der Schwenkgabel (10) können einander zumindest teilweise durchdringen.

A rule-based method for packing a customer delivery unit containing a predetermined plurality of spools of filamentary product thereon comprises the steps of: (a) uniquely identifying each of a plurality of spools; (b) recording for each spool information regarding the kind of product on the spool, the grade of the product on the spool, and the weight of the product on the spool; (c) based on the product kind, grade, and weight information, assigning to each spool an appropriate one of a plurality of packing rules; and (d) selecting a predetermined plurality of tubes for inclusion in a customer delivery unit in accordance with the packing rule assigned to each selected tube. In another aspect the invention is directed to a method for manufacturing spools of a filamentary product in which information regarding predetermined process conditions in existence during the manufacture of the filamentary product are monitored and stored in a database, the improvement comprising: (a) storing in a database information regarding predetermined properties of the fiber on each spool, and (b) for at least one of the spools, correlating the manufacturing process information and the fiber property information.

A yarn spool bearing for textile production facilities is fitted as a material buffer between a continuous manufacturing process and further processing facilities downstream with stoppage times. To ensure gentle handling of the yarn spools (1, 2), the claimed yarn spool bearing is designed as a shelf bearing with shelves (6) which can move inside the bearing and on which the yarn spools (1, 2) can be supported in such a way as to prevent contact between a shelf floor (7) and its winding surface (8, 9) facing the floor (7).

A process is disclosed for loading the spool pegs (10) of a spool rack (11) or the like with full yarn spools (12) set by a loading device (13) on superimposed horizontal pegs (16) of a transport carriage (15) that is driven on rails by a driving engine (23) between the loading device (13) and the rack (11). A sensor is positioned at a predetermined position in front of the rack (11) where the carriage pegs (16) are aligned with the pegs (10) of the rack (11). In order to avoid time-consuming and complex alignment operations, the process is implemented so that the sensor (25) is aligned at the height of a stage (b) of pegs of the rack (11), the sections (for example x1) followed by the transport carriage (15) are stored, the sensor signals triggered by rack pegs (10) are stored depending on the sections (for example x1) and the transport carriage (15) is driven by the stored sensor signals to its spool transfer positions.

A bobbin sorting apparatus (10) can collect a predetermined number of bobbins (12) from storage racks (18) each of which has a discharge port (20). A carriage (24) having guide elements (32, 34) can be juxtaposed proximate to the discharge ports. A chain drive bearing rollers (50) is arranged to form holding bins (30) which can be advanced along the guides. The rollers (50) are spaced from the vertical guides to allow the bobbins to roll against the vertical guides through a closed loop path to position any holding bin (30) in line with any discharge port (20). Gates (21) on the racks selectively release a bobbin (12) into the selected bin (30), the chain drive (48) being reversible to minimize distance travelled by any given bin (30) to a discharge port (20). An ejection member (60) ejects all of the bobbins (12) loaded onto the apparatus in a desired sequence independently of the order in which the bobbins (12) are initially placed into the holding bins (30).

A process and a device are useful for transporting articles from a pick-up station to a depositing station and for picking up and depositing the articles by means of a vehicle (7). The articles to be transported are placed at the pick-up stations and recorded by a central computer. A transport order is then composed by the central computer (6) and transmitted to a computer unit (72) of a transport vehicle (7). The transport vehicle (7) is equipped with devices for automatic and active execution of the transport order. On completion of the transport order, the vehicle (7) reports back to central computer (6). The transported goods are deposited by category.
