Abstract:
Some embodiments include a fuel and product dispensing apparatus comprising a fuel dispenser and product dispenser within a housing providing the ability to purchase one or more of fuel, products, and services in a single transaction. Other embodiments include a product dispenser adapted for mounting to a fuel dispenser, such as a gas pump, providing consumers the ability to purchase products in a transaction along with fuel. Some embodiments further comprise conductively coupling the product dispenser to the fuel dispenser to equalize an electrical potential to reduce electrostatic discharges.
Abstract:
An automatic ice vending apparatus (205) including a holding vessel (2) capable of storing a plurality of ice pieces to provide a constant supply of ice over an indeterminate period of time and an ice transferring device (3) designed to transport a portion of the ice pieces in a substantially horizontal direction through and out of the holding vessel (2), and optionally, an upwardly directional ice transport device (12) operably positioned to transport the ice pieces upwards to a weighing device (21), whereby the weighing device (21) meters out a portion of ice pieces and deposits the portion into a readily transportable container (17). Methods of delivering ice to a consumer are also included.

Abstract:
A freezer component stores and removes frozen food in response to a signal, it includes a rotatable portion, a loading side and the feeding side. Two raiseable platforms are located in each of the loading side and the feeding side. Food is loaded into the freezer component by placing food onto the platforms positioned in the loading side. The rotatable portion then rotates 180° to position the food-loaded platforms in the feeding side. The empty platforms now located in the loading side are loaded with additional food. When a signal is received, food in the feeding side removed from the freezer component by alternately raising the two platforms holding food. When the feeding side is empty and contains no more food, the rotatable portion rotates 180° in reverse direction. The food loaded platforms are now located in the feeding side. The empty platforms are located in the loading side and ready for loading.
Abstract:
Automatic vending machine for articles of frozen confectionery, comprising an outer body, an outer door and a controlled-environment chamber. Provision is made for the articles of frozen confectionery to be kept in containers of cylindrical, quasi-cylindrical or polyhedral shape. The machine has a controlled-environment chamber at -18 DEG C comprising insulating panels and an inner door, maintained by a refrigeration system and a defrosting system. Also within the chamber there are vertical compartments for the storage of stacked containers, a dispensing device and a discharge hopper leading to an outlet tray. In the outer door there are product selection and cash box mechanisms which monitor money inserted, change and articles of frozen confectionery stocks. In addition to this the machine can be connected by telephone to a central service to request restocking or communicate any damage. The mechanisms mentioned can be used to provide advertising and immediate prizes and an audio system.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT The present application provides a merchandiser for dispensing a number of products. The merchandiser may include an a temperature controlled compartment with a number of concentric storage wheels for storing the number of products therein, an input system positioned about the temperature controlled compartment, and a vending system positioned about the temperature controlled compartment.
Abstract:
The present application provides a merchandiser. The merchandiser may include an ambient compartment with at least one ambient product therein, a temperature controlled compartment with at least one temperature controlled product therein, and a vending module in communication with the temperature controlled compartment such that the vending module dispenses a temperature controlled product in response to an ambient product being placed in the vending module.
Abstract:
An integrated beverage blending system comprising an ice portion control module, an ingredient module; an ice dispensing conduit in communication with the ice portion control module, and an ingredient dispensing valve removably connected to the ice dispensing conduit and in communication with the ingredient module. Ice is dispensed into a beverage container via the ice dispensing conduit and the ingredient is dispensed into the beverage container via the ingredient dispensing valve.
Abstract:
An apparatus for making and dispensing frozen aerated products includes a rotating horizontal freeze plate with an upper surface for receiving a chilled aerated mix. The chilled aerated mix includes, in one embodiment, a base that has been sufficiently aerated, and at least one flavor. The horizontal freeze plate rotates about its central axis. The apparatus also includes a spreader body for distributing the chilled aerated mix on the rotating freeze plate. The spreader body extends radially across at least a portion of the upper surface of the freeze plate. The apparatus further includes a scraper for scraping frozen aerated mix off of the rotating freeze plate. The scraper includes a scraper blade with a leading edge that extends radially across the portion of the freeze plate and that engages the upper surface of the freeze plate. The scraper blade is directed opposite the direction of rotation of the freeze plate. The scraper further includes a body that forms an elongated semi-cylindrical channel above the scraper blade that extends radially above the freeze plate for the collection of scraped, frozen and aerated mix. The apparatus also includes a plow for pushing the scraped, frozen and aerated mix through the channel towards a cup held by a cup-lifter mechanism disposed at an end of the channel. The action of the plow pushes the scraped frozen aerated mix through the channel and into the cup resulting in a generally round scoop of scraped frozen aerated mix in the cup that resembles a serving scoop experienced at a traditional ice cream shop.
