Abstract:
A plug connector for an electronic device has a deformable seal positioned on it such that when the plug connector is mated to the electronic device a liquid-tight seal is formed between the plug connector and the electronic device. A seal may also be positioned within a receptacle connector cavity of the electronic device such that it forms a liquid-tight seal to a plug connector when the plug connector is mated to the electronic device.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to connectors such as audio connectors and in particular to a dual orientation audio connector with side audio contacts that can be used in place of standard audio connectors. The connector has an intuitive insertion orientation and a smooth, consistent feel when inserted and extracted from its corresponding receptacle connector. A corresponding connector jack may be configured to receive the dual orientation audio connector.
Abstract:
An electric connector comprising a housing, a tongue module, a plurality of first terminals, a plurality of second terminals and the terminals assembled in the housing and tongue, and a metal shell assembled in the housing. The tongue module is assembled in the housing, and those first terminals disposed in the tongue module by insert molding. Each first terminal has an extended part buried in the tongue module. The lower surface of the tongue module has a plurality of second terminal receiving slots between those first terminals. The pitch between the two adjacent first terminals is greater than the width of the second terminal receiving slot. The upper surface of the tongue module has a plurality of the terminal receiving slots.
Abstract:
A connector has a plurality of mating blades in the form of circuit cards, arranged horizontally in a vertical stack. The circuit cards are supported in a vertical array in mating portions of the connector and are enclosed by sidewalls of the mating portions. In order to support the circuit cards, the sidewalls of each mating portion are slotted and the circuit cards are provided with mounting wings that extend outwardly therefrom and which are received in the slots. Reentrant notches are provided in the circuit cards adjacent where the wings extend out from the bodies of the circuit cards.
