    Abstract: A waterproof connector (10) is fitted with a mating connector (40) in a first direction. A first case (11) has an opening (11a). A waterproof member (13) is disposed at an edge of the opening (11a). A board (14) is exposed through the opening (11a) and provided with a first contact (14c) that is to be subjected to electrical connection with the mating connector (40). A conductive wire (15) is soldered to the board (14) so as to establish electrical connection with the first contact (14c). A second case (12) is coupled to the first connector (11) in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and defining an accommodation space (16) accommodating the board (14) and a part of the conductive wire (15). The first case (11) has a sloped face (11b) extending obliquely as viewed from a third direction orthogonal to the first and second directions. The opening (11a) is formed in the sloped face (11b).

The male connector includes first and second spaced apart projections which engage with rotatable gears on the female connector, and the mate assist slider includes a gear track which engages with the gears.
