Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
Frame based streaming data is controlled through a reconfigurable graph of processing modules. A client specifies overall goals for the graph. A graph manager constructs the graph as a sequence of interconnected modules for processing the data, in response to the capabilities of modules within the graph and the overall goals, and divides the graph into time domains each having one or more modules, pipes each having one or more modules, and a control mechanism is used that eliminates components unnecessary to the overall operation of the graph and that provides synchronization between time domains using time translation tables or timing correlation tables. The graph manager adaptively controls graphs that have a low latency requirement.
Abstract:
Multiplexing means on the side of a picture encoding device multiplexes display speed information or information expressing the absolute time, and a picture decoding device carries out processing based on the multiplexed display speed information or information expressing the absolute time. Thus, picture decoding processing may be carried out smoothly and precisely.

Abstract:
An apparatus and method provide synchronization between user observable signals including audio and/or video signals. According to an exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes an input point (90) for receiving an encoded signal. A circuit (91) time-shifts the encoded signal to generate a time-shifted encoded signal. A first decoder (92) decodes the time-shifted encoded signal to generate a first decoded signal and provides the first decoded signal to a first system (93). The first system (93) converts the first decoded signal to a first user observable signal. The input point (90) also provides the encoded signal to a second system including a second decoder (94), an encoder (95), and a third decoder (96) coupled in series which enables generation of a second user observable signal. The time-shifting performed by the circuit (91) is adjustable and enables the first user observable signal to become substantially synchronized with the second user observable signal.
Abstract:
Multiple image streams may be acquired from different sources. The colour depth of the images is first reduced and the streams then combined to form a single stream having a known format and bit depth equal to the sum of the bit depths of the reduced bit streams. Thus, the multiple streams may be processed as a single stream. After processing, the streams are separated again by applying a reverse reordering process.
Abstract:
Provided are a time-stamping apparatus and method for RTP packetization of a SVC coded video, and a RTP packetization system using the same. The time stamping apparatus includes: a NAL unit classifier for checking a header of an input NAL unit and classifying the input NAL units based on a picture property; a first timestamp calculator for calculating a RTP timestamp value for a NAL unit classified as a key picture by the NAL unit classifier; a second timestamp calculator for calculating a RTP timestamp value for a NAL unit classified as a non-key picture by the NAL unit classifier; and a controller for setting a RTP timestamp value for an instantaneous decoding refresh (IDR) picture and controlling the first and second timestamp calculators for calculating a RTP timestamp value of a corresponding NAL unit.
Abstract:
There are provided methods and apparatus for audio and video synchronization timestamp rollover correction. A synchronization apparatus includes a synchronizer (280) for providing synchronization information for synchronizing a video stream with an audio stream during any point in a broadcast thereof irrespective of whether the video stream and the audio stream have different rollover points for their respective timestamps. The synchronization information is encoded for an out of band transmission with respect to the broadcast of the audio and video streams.
