An expandable tool includes a body and a recess extending at least partially through the body from an outer radial surface of the body. A spline insert may be at least partially positioned in the recess and coupled to the body. The spline insert may include a single spline or multiple splines. A cutter block or other expandable member may be at least partially positioned in the recess. The cutter block or other expandable member may include a spline on a side surface thereof, which spline may be engaged with the one or more splines of the spline insert. Engagement between one or more splines of the spline insert and spline of the cutter block or other expandable member may allow the expandable member to move radially outward from a retracted position to an expanded position, and vice versa.
Abstract:
A cutting tool (1) for widening the diameter of a borehole and method thereof is disclosed. The cutting tool (1) comprises a housing (2) having cavity (10) in which a moveable activation element (6) is arranged. The activation element (6) is moved in an axial direction and is connected to one or more cutting blocks via a mechanical coupling (15). The mechanical coupling (15) transfers the axial movement of the action element into a radial movement of the cutting blocks. An activation unit (24) pushes the activation element (6) towards a stopping position which in turn causes the cutting blocks (11) to move out of the housing. The activation unit (24) further pulls the activation element back towards its starting position which in turn causes the cutting blocks to move back into the housing. The cutting blocks (11) extend into one or more cavities formed in the activation element, thereby increasing the travel-to-expansion ratio. The cutting blocks can be replaced by stabiliser blades (20) which are used to stabilise the drilling in the expanded borehole.

A stem guard for a stem of a raise bore drill includes at least one wear pad attachable to the device. At least one volume of wear resistant material is joined with the at least one wear pad to form a wear pad assembly. The wear pad assembly is fixedly secured to the stem. A method of forming a wear pad assembly for protecting a device includes the steps of providing at least one volume of wear resistant material. The at least one volume of wear resistant material is joined to a protective material to form at least one wear pad assembly. At least one wear pad assembly is attached to the device and the at least one wear pad assembly is fixed to the device to protect the same from wear.

The present invention relates to a method for positioning a drilling arrangement (7), wherein said drilling arrangement (7) is a raise boring arrangement, comprising a rotational centre (29). The method comprises to provide said drilling arrangement (7) carried by a positioning device (21, 31) connected to a carrier means (1) to transport the drilling arrangement (7) to a designated position for drilling by means of said carrier means (1), and positioning said rotational centre (29) of said drilling arrangement (7) beside a relatively the carrier means (1) defined centre line (CL) with the positioning device (21, 31). The invention also relates to a rock drilling configuration comprising said positioning device (21, 31) and said drilling arrangement (7) and a computer program product comprising program code for an electronic control unit associated with the rock drilling configuration for performing the method.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Abfördern von von einem Bohrwerkzeug (113) beim Erstellen eines Bohrlochs (101, 102) zum Verlegen einer Rohrleitung gelöstem Bohrklein mit wenigstens einer Pumpe (12) zum Abpumpen von einer mit dem Bohrklein vermischten Bohrflüssigkeit und wenigstens einem Aufnahmekörper (11) mit wenigstens einer Aufnahmekammer (17), die über Öffnungen (14) mit einem Bohrkleinbereich (117) hinter dem Bohrwerkzeug (113) verbunden ist. Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es daher, eine Vorrichtung zum Abfördern von Bohrklein zu schaffen, mit der es möglich ist, das Bohrklein über eine Druckförderung zuverlässig abzutransportieren. Die Lösung der Erfindung sieht dafür vor, dass am Aufnahmekörper (11) ein Aufnahmeelement (13) zum mechanischen Aufnehmen des Bohrkleins vorgesehen ist, an dem wenigstens ein Teil der Öffnungen (14) angeordnet sind, über die das Bohrklein in die Aufnahmekammer (17) gelangt.

본 발명은 직천공이 완료된 지중의 천공홀에 설치되는 말뚝에 있어서, 말뚝본체(100)의 일부에 말뚝 확대부 형성이 가능한 확경구(102)를 구비하되, 상기 확경구(102)는 확경 절삭을 위한 절삭도구(10)와, 경화 가능한 접합채움재(14)(14a)의 압력으로 방사상 확장되는 방사상 확장담체(12)로 구성하여서 확장상태에 있는 절삭도구(10)와 방사상 확장담체(12)에 의해 상기 말뚝 확대부가 형성되게 구성한 자체 확경이 가능한 말뚝이며, 본 발명의 자체 확경이 가능한 말뚝을 사용하면 매우 견고한 토사층이나 암반층과 같은 지층에 관계없이 미리 설계한 규격으로 별도의 확대도구 없이 말뚝 확대부를 시공할 수 있다.

The present invention relates to a borehole-diameter-expanding drill which is used in order to expand the hole wall in part of a borehole shaft drilled in the ground for the purpose of building work, wherein there is a sliding blade assembly which comprises sliding blades capable of mutual folding, hinged to the shaft part of a rotor at the upper end thereof, and each of the sliding blades has secured to the upper surface thereof cutting bits for hole-wall cutting, and there is a movable member for controlling the upwards unfolding and the downwards folding of the sliding blades, and thus it is possible to subject part of the borehole shaft to reaming in the ground while maintaining the shape of the reamed area in the ground unaltered, and it is possible to form the securing and fixing part of an anchor or tension pile or else to form the spread foundation part at the front end of a compression pile by casting concrete into the reamed area.
