Abstract: The present invention relates to a biofilm reactor containing a spiral structure and a water treatment device using the same. The biofilm reactor of the present invention comprises: a water inlet pipe; an air inlet pipe; and an outlet pipe which discharges water and air that has entered through the inlet pipes and passed through the inside of the reactor. In order to induce the flow of air bubbles from the air inlet pipe and raise the oxygen transfer rate by increasing residence time, the spiral structure is inserted inside the reactor, wherein the spiral structure forms a spiral flow path from the air inlet pipe to the outlet pipe. Also, since the biofilm is formed on the spiral structure through adhesion of microorganisms, the microorganism growth conditions for both suspended growth and attached growth are prepared at the same time. Moreover, dissolved oxygen concentration in water is efficiently increased without consumption of power for stirring. Also, the invention has an effect of increasing and maintaining the concentration of microorganisms.
