The web path is accessible along a third direction (26), in both the first and second portions (16, 20) of the housing (4), via the access opening (22).
Abstract:
The present invention provides a separation unit for separating a web material along preformed lines of weakness. The separation unit has a width direction and comprises at least a first roller having a rotational axis extending in the width direction and a web width extending in the width direction, and at least a second roller having a rotational axis extending parallel with the rotational axis of the first roller and a web width extending in the width direction. The second roller is positioned at a distance from the first roller, the distance extending in a direction perpendicular to the width direction. Each of the first and the second rollers is provided with at least one protrusion element extending perpendicularly from the axes. Each of the protrusion elements has a maximum width in the width direction, a maximum radial extension from the rotational axes, an inner portion adjacent to the rotational axes, and an outer portion remote from the rotational axes. The outer portions of the protrusion elements on the first roller are arranged in a staggered relationship with the outer portions of the protrusion elements on the second roller such that the outer portions of the protrusion elements on the first roller are partially overlapping with the outer portions of the protrusion elements on the second roller with a radial overlap length, thus forming an undulating passage for a web material between the rollers. The radial overlap length is between 2-40 mm, preferably 2-20 mm, more preferably 3-12 mm, or most preferably between 4-10 mm.
Abstract:
A method for producing stacks (1) of individual web sections (2; 3), such as tissue web sections from a continuous web of material (2a; 2b), comprises the steps: (a) directing the continuous web (2a; 2b) to a perforating station (27); (b) perforating the continuous web (2a; 2b) at predetermined intervals and forming sheets (5) of web material between consecutive perforation lines (4) extending laterally across the continuous web (2a; 2b), the perforating being carried out by means of at least one perforation element (26) arranged at the circumference of a perforation roller (24); (c) directing the continuous web (2a; 2b) to a cutting station (31; (d) cutting at second predetermined intervals the continuous web (2a; 2b) into web sections (2; 3) by means of a cutting element (38) acting against an anvil element (37), in order to generate a clear cut or a tab-bond; (e) folding the web sections (2; 3) by means of a folding roll (32); and (f) stacking the folded web section (2; 3) to generate a stack (1) of folded sheets.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a surface coating for an aluminium surface of a household or restaurant appliances and articles, said surface coating having a predetermined abrasion resistance. The surface coating is an anodic oxide coating with an abrasive resistance less than 0,1 µm per kg of sand.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an absorbent product, such as a diaper, an incontinence pad or the like, which product comprises a liquid-permeable surface layer (2), a liquid-impermeable backing material (3) and an absorption body (4) enclosed between the surface layer (2) and the backing material (3), the product having a front portion (5), a rear portion (6) and a crotch portion (7) located between the front and rear portions, and an attachment system for securing the absorbent product on a wearer, the attachment system comprising at least one tab (18) for detachable interaction with a landing zone (20) arranged on the front or rear portion of the product, the landing zone being designed as a strip with two long sides (26) and two short sides (25) which join the two long sides (26) together, and the landing zone (20) comprising a central inactive area (28) arranged centrally in the transverse direction on the landing zone, and two active areas (27) arranged one on each side of the central inactive area (28) so that the active areas extend in the transverse direction from the central inactive area (28) to the short sides (25) of the landing zone.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed for forming a tissue bundle from a stack of folded absorbent tissues. The method includes the steps of forming a stack of folded absorbent tissues;compressing the stack to an initial density in a first compression step; wrapping the stack a first time in a supporting wrapper to form an initial bundle and maintain the initial density;subsequently applying a second compression step to compress the stack to a final density that is higher than the initial density; and wrapping the stack a second time to form a final bundle and to maintain the final density.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a dispenser for interfolded napkins, the dispenser (1) comprising a container (2) having a supporting surface (8) for supporting a stack of interfolded napkins. The supporting surface (8) extends in a horizontal plane, and is surrounded by side walls (6) extending in a vertical direction perpendicular to the supporting surface (8), The side walls (8) define a dispensing opening (7) opposite the supporting surface (8), At least one tab (100) is arranged in the container (2) for retaining the stack of napkins during withdrawal of a napkin from the stack. The tab (100) is pivotably arranged in relation to the container (2) between a holding position, in which the tab (100) extends horizontally over at least a portion of the dispensing opening (7), and a refill position, in which the tab is directed away from the dispensing opening. The tab (100) pivots about a living hinge (101). One or more stop surfaces (103, 110) limit an extent to which the tab (100) is able to turn about the living hinge (101) toward the dispensing mouth (9).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a stack (1) of web material for hygiene products, for use in a dispenser, comprising at least one folded continuous web material (2, 3) and comprising a first connector (11a) and a second connector (11b), being adapted for interconnection of the first end surface (5) of the stack to a second end surface (6) of another, similar stack, and/or of the second and surface (6) of the stack to a first end surface (5) of another, similar stack. The first connector (11a) comprises a first generally smooth connection surface consisting of a first material, and the second connector (11b) comprises a second generally smooth connection surface consisting of a second material; said first and second materials having such properties that, upon bringing said first and second smooth surfaces into contact with each other, the surfaces attach to each other by surface adhesion of the kind where the surfaces are repeatedly removable from and reattachable to each other while leaving the surfaces substantially unaltered, whereby a connection between a first/second connector of the stack and a second/first connector of a similar stack having a connection strength in a plane including the connection surfaces sufficient to pull the web of the interconnected stacks is accomplished.
