The invention relates to a coupler (1) for coupling a substantially elongated belt portion, comprising a housing (2), comprising a first beam (4), extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the belt portions, for guiding a belt portion, a connector (3), located on a distance from the first beam, at least two sidewalls (5, 6), which extend between the first beam (4) and the connector (3), which sidewalls (5, 6) are located on opposite ends of the first beam (4), wherein at least a part of at least one side wall (6) is pivotable between at least two positions: a closed position wherein the pivotable sidewall (6) portion engages the first beam (4) to limit a belt passage between the side walls (5, 6), the connector (3) and the first beam (4), and an opened position wherein the pivotable sidewall portion is located on a distance of the first beam (4) to allow passage of a belt potion between the pivotable sidewall portion and the first beam (4).

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung (10) zum Verzurren von Containern, die zwischen zwei Fixierpunkten, die aneinander gesichert werden sollen, zubefestigen ist, mit einem ersten Spannmittel (20), das mit einem der Fixierpunkte verbindbar ist und eine Spindel (21) enthält, die in Längsrichtung des ersten Spannmittels (20) verläuft und einen Spindel-Gewindeabschnitt (22) aufweist, einem zweiten Spannmittel (30), das mit dem anderen der Fixierpunkte verbindbar ist, einer Spindelmutter (40), die einen Spindelmutter-Gewindeabschnitt aufweist, der mit dem Spindel-Gewindeabschnitt (22) des ersten Spannmittels (20) in Eingriff steht, und einem der Spindelmutter (40) zugeordneten Kontermittel (41), wobei die Spindelmutter (40) zwischen dem ersten und dem zweiten Spannmittel (20, 30) angeordnet ist. A tensioning device for tie down applications in a utility market that includes a drive end and a cable output end to attach to a medium, item, or truck or trailer. The tensioning device creates more tension in the medium than is generally able to be applied by hand with ratchet straps or chains, which provides a more secure tie down of items in a utility application. The tensioning device includes a drive system that can be driven with standard power tools or hand tools to retract a cable. The tensioning device may be designed with or without a clutch feature. The clutch feature allows for a desired cable tension to be reached for each installation and provides feedback to the operator when the correct tension is reached. The tensioning device includes an external bracket or hook for easily attaching to an item, medium, or truck or trailer.

According to the invention, retainers (7) projecting radially (8) from the tension lever (6) are situated axially (9, 10) displaced from said axle (2) and arranged to limit the axial (9, 10) movements of the axle.

A powered cargo restrain gripping system comprises a powered turnbuckle having a chain hook end and a claw end. The turnbuckle comprises a main housing containing a chain screw receiver adapted to receive a chain screw axially in the chain hook end and a claw screw receiver adapted to receive a claw screw axially in the claw end. A chain receiver bevel drive gear is coupled to the chain screw and a claw screw bevel drive gear is coupled to the claw screw. A drive bevel gear engages and cooperates with the chain receiver bevel gear and the claw screw bevel drive gear such that rotation of the drive bevel gear causes rotation of the chain screw and the claw screw, thereby tensioning or releasing the turnbuckle. In one embodiment, a motor assembly is coupled to the turnbuckle housing to enable automatic tensioning or release of the turnbuckle through activation of the motor. A control and monitoring module can be provided to allow for remote actuation of the turnbuckle through transmission of radio-frequency control signals.

The invention relates to a device (1) in a pulling member (3) to provide reliable lashing or other holding of cargo or other objects by means of the pulling member (3) - that is actuatable by a tensioning member (2) - and an elastic member (4) straining the same. According to the invention, one part (4A) of said elastic member (4), which is immovably connected with a portion (3A) of said pulling member (3), forms a return part of said pulling member (3) by the opposite, other portion (4B) of the elastic member being connected with the opposite free end (3B) of said pulling member (3), and that said pulling member (3) is actuatable by a one-way lock mechanism (5), whereby slackening of the pulling member (3) is arranged to be counteracted by said elastic member (4).
