Abstract: A swivel connector has a female part and a male part that are connected to each other so as to swivel. The female part has a main body with an interior cavity and an open face, and a strap connector. The male part has a plug portion and a strap connector. A ring lock locks the male portion to the female portion and is formed by two side walls connected by two pivot bars, the side walls of the ring lock being rotatably connected to the female part. The male part is locked to the female part by inserting the plug portion into the interior cavity, and the ring lock is held by spring in a locked position where the open face is blocked by one of the pivot bars. The male part is released from the female part by rotating the ring lock against the force of the spring until the open face is not blocked by the pivot bar.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to pelican hooks and related systems. In one embodiment, the pelican hook includes a hook that defines a hook gap, a gate for the hook gap, and a gate mechanism. The gate is configured to be opened so as to open the hook gap and is configured to be closed so as to close the hook gap. The gate mechanism includes a gate actuator for opening the gate and a lock actuator for unlocking the gate. To do this, the gate mechanism is configured such that actuating the lock actuator toward the gate actuator unlocks the gate and such that actuating the gate actuator toward the lock actuator opens the gate. In this manner, the user can operate the pelican hook with a single hand and without having to let go of the pelican hook.

Also provided is a dog lead (48) comprising an elongate flexible portion (66, 68) engaged with such a releasable catch (10).

Abstract: A connecting and anchoring device. A cable element terminates at opposite ends in respective gate and spine cable termination structures. A gate housing houses a gating portion of the cable element and includes a locking element. In a first configuration, the termination structures are locked together and in a second configuration, the termination structures can be separated from one another by manipulating the locking element. The device in at least the first configuration defines a closed aperture. A spine housing houses a spinal portion of the cable element, and is attached to the base. The gate housing is pivotally connected to the base so that the gate housing can pivot relative to the spine housing so as to change the configuration of the connecting and anchoring device between the second configuration and a third configuration in which the aperture is open. The cable element includes a cable that extends uninterrupted from the spine housing, through the base, and into the gate housing.
