A stirring stick has a logo on a handle portion and a solidified or compacted dried instant beverage mix attached to an opposite end of the stick. The beverage mix is dissolvable in hot or cold water or other consumable liquid. A sealed wrap is provided around the beverage mix. Alternately, the beverage mix is placed in a disposable cup and the sealed wrap surrounds the cup and the instant beverage mix inside the cup with the stick's handle protruding showing the logo on the stick or packaged with a fold-up accordion disposable cup.

The invention relates to a coffee beverage base being substantially non-alcoholic and comprising a fermented coffee component comprising coffee aroma, which fermented coffee component, has a modulated coffee aroma with fruity and/or floral notes due to the fermentation of the coffee aroma. Further the invention relates to a ready-to-drink coffee beverage which when prepared for consumption form a beer like beverage with a foam. The invention also relates to a process for making such products. The example discloses fermentation of roasted coffee extract. In one embodiment, specific ratios of methylbutanol to methylbutanol and thioacetates to thiols are required.

A system and method for packaging coffee is presented. Coffee is packaged in an oxygen-free environment to eliminate or minimize the presence of oxygen in the package. Coffee that is packaged according to the system and method presented herein produces coffee drinks that are more flavorful than coffee that is vacuum-packed after already having been exposed to oxygen. The oxygen-free environment may be created by an atmospheric isolation chamber having an inlet and an outlet, a mechanism configured to maintain oxygen level in the chamber at below a predefined level, and a coffee packaging tool inside the isolation chamber.

The metal insert includes a planar disc and an upstanding insert sidewall extending from a peripheral edge of the disc portion, and a radially outward facing surface of the insert sidewall engages the inner surface of the metal sidewall.
