Abstract:
Various systems and methods that enhance an exercise activity performed by a user are described. In some embodiments, the systems and methods include a gaming platform that presents video games, virtual games, and other digital or interactive experiences to players that are working out or performing an exercise activity. The platform can facilitate the control of game actions within a game based on what the user does or performs during the exercise activity, such as when the user adjusts a difficulty level of the exercise activity.
Abstract:
A platform-based strength machine enables users to perform strength or lifting activities or exercises via moveable or configurable pull points. The strength machine can include tracks that facilitate the configuring of the positions of the pull points, handles that control operation of the strength machine and/or measure movements performed by a user, compact motors that facilitate various platform or load application configurations, safety systems for the strength machine, and other enhancements.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for managing drones using standby zones are described. An aircraft (e.g., drone or UAV) standby zone management system manages drones in three-dimensional zones, each zone having a specific elevation (or height), longitude, and latitude. For example, a number of drones can service or otherwise travel through a specific airspace or geographical location (e.g., an area surrounding a warehouse). Before executing flight plans, the drones remain in a standby mode, where they await instructions. The system manages these standby zones, moving the drones from zone to zone as they remain in their standby mode of operation.
Abstract:
An electric bicycle control device, and associated display device, are described. The control device, in some embodiments, includes an LED (light emitting diode) indicator (e.g., alphanumeric display) that presents information to riders of the electric bicycle, as well as various control buttons that facilitate rider control of the electric bicycle. The control device is associated with a display device, which presents additional or complementary information about the electric bicycle, such as information that is presented based on input received via the control device from the rider.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are described herein for providing mobile devices with peer to peer access to telecommunications networks. The network-based systems enable mobile devices associated with subscribers of the telecommunications networks to establish direct connections with other mobile devices (e.g., third party mobile devices of users that are not subscribers) over peer to peer (P2P) communication protocols. For example, a mobile device can, over a P2P connection, act as a Hotspot, Wi-Fi tether, or bridge for a third party or other mobile device requesting access to the networks.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are described herein for provisioning rewards to users of telecommunications networks via various network-based processes. In some embodiments, the systems and methods determine a user has performed an activity or action associated with an external online event, such as a branded or sponsored event. In response to the activity or action, the systems and methods update or modify a database associated with the user and provided by a telecommunications network, such as a network that provides communication services to the user, with a credit associated with the external online event. The database may store or track credits or other currency or tokens associated with redeeming awards provided via the network by various sponsoring entities, companies, or brands.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are described herein for recharging prepaid accounts within a telecommunications provider, such as a network carrier, using information provided by postpaid account subscribers. For example, the systems and methods facilitate the receipt of instructions from mobile devices associated with postpaid accounts. Upon receipt of the messages, the systems and methods (such as systems within a charging system of the network carrier or provider) identify intended or recipient mobile devices associated with prepaid accounts. Once identified, the systems and methods recharge the prepaid accounts, based on the instructions received from the postpaid account mobile devices.
Abstract:
An embodiment of a system with a minute measure of pulsatility in a flow of a fluid is described that comprises a first pump configured to flow the fluid to a junction at a first flow rate that comprises a measure of pulsatility; and a second pump configured to flow a portion of the fluid from the junction at a second flow rate that is less than the first flow rate to produce a flow of the fluid at a third flow rate from the junction with a minute measure of pulsatility.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for moderating branded content provided by users to an online content publishing and distribution network are described.. In some embodiments, a content management system stores user-generated or user-created content, and creates and shares links associated to the user-generated content to online networks and other sites, where other users share, consume, and/or interact with the content (e.g., videos and other multimedia content).
Abstract:
The present set of embodiments relate to a system, method, and apparatus for an optical configuration in a flow cytometer that allows for independent adjustment of focusing for each light source. Such systems, methods, and apparatuses require a final focusing element to be moved near the beginning of the optical train and for each optical element coming after the final focusing element to be configured to accommodate converging light beams while minimizing the introduction of aberrations into those beams.
