Abstract: Electric bicycles having partially integrated batteries, as well as down tubes that accommodate such batteries, controllers, and other components, are described. Further, controller mount components and wiring harnesses are also described. Thus, in some embodiments, an electric bicycle includes various devices or components that facilitate easy and efficient mounting of electrical components (e.g., batteries, controllers, cables and/or wires, and so on) to or within frame components of the electric bicycle.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide for a bike-supported communication network that manages and facilitates communications between components of an electric bicycle and a wireless network. In some embodiments, the systems and methods provide a bike-supported communication device that communicates with a wireless network via one or more wireless communication protocols, where the communication device is configured to manage communications between the wireless network and various components of the electric bicycle. The communication device can include a bicycle communications component that facilitates communications between the communication device and components of the electric bicycle, and a network communications component that facilitates communications between the electric bicycle and the wireless network.

Abstract: An electric bicycle control device, and associated display device, are described. The control device, in some embodiments, includes an LED (light emitting diode) indicator (e.g., alphanumeric display) that presents information to riders of the electric bicycle, as well as various control buttons that facilitate rider control of the electric bicycle. The control device is associated with a display device, which presents additional or complementary information about the electric bicycle, such as information that is presented based on input received via the control device from the rider.
